Candy Land is a classic for a reason. It’s super easy for kids to pick up since there’s no reading or complicated rules—just colorful cards and a fun candy-themed path. I played it a lot as a kid, and now seeing younger ones enjoy it just as much is really sweet.The game is mostly based on luck, so it’s not very exciting for adults, but it’s perfect for introducing board games to little ones. The artwork is still charming, though some cards that send you backward can frustrate kids. Overall, it’s a great starter game that holds up over time.

This game is so fun for the kids. It’s very good quality and visually very pretty with all the colors. The cards are good quality so they haven’t fallen apart with the use from the kids. It’s super easy to set up and not a long game so great for little kids.

Fabulous and timeless game, especially for three-year-olds as they learn to follow instructions.

I bought this as a first boardgame for my 2 and 4 year old kids. They love hands on activities and this was a great addition and introduction to board games! It comes with an introductory story that got them excited to play!

Classic game. Makes for fun family game nights

We had an older version of Candyland, but the cards were all bent up, so I ordered this one as a replacement. Right away I noticed the quality has gone downhill from my old version. The game board is barely thicker than posterboard so you'll need to be very careful with that. The cards are beyond thin - I had to laminate each one to give it longevity. The Candyland story insert was ripped upon receipt. Better quality materials need to be used since young kids are using this.Aside from quality problems, we love the classic game. My 4 and 10 year olds love the game, even though the 10 year old is way old for it, but we like to play as a family. It's the competitiveness for her that keeps her interested. Game play is simple, you choose cards and go the matching color, some spaces are double colors to move 2 instead of one. The best part is the specialty cards, in this version some of the characters are different such as the ice cream for Duke of Swirl and Grandma Gooey. What makes the game so fun is that you can be all the way at the end and get a specialty card like the cupcake that sends you back. My 4 year old is learning sight words, but can't read yet and no reading is required for this game. Each round can take 2-7 minutes depending on what cards you get, good for kids with short attention span. Classic family fun!
