Stiff as anything which I get, but you claim chew proof dog had it chewed her first night. Put her in her pen about 11pm went down at 6am and it's chewed. 9 month old Great DaneUPDATE: Has barely been a month and the bed is destroyed. I had gone through 4 crate mattress for my dog and I found this item which was advertised as indestructible, but in fact after I had it for one day, my dog torn through it. Try another product if your looking for durability.

Lasted 1 day. 40 pound Dog has stuffing pulled out and its shredded. Definitely not indestructible and not chew and claw proof. Dog just had it nails professionally trimmed.

I have an aggressive chewing puppy that chewed up his kennel mat. I doubted that this was chew proof, but bought it anyway just to try it. He has tried to chew it and dig through it like the others, but he has not been able to. Best investment i made.

I ordered this item since it looks so durable. The bed arrived folded; no smells noted; no tags. Overall is feels kind of stiff but pliable. This material is super tough and does look indestructible for the most part. Great stitching; some cushioning but not very soft. Very rugged.The bed can be brushed off easily. It can be machined washed according to the webpage.If you have an aggressive chewer, then this bed would be excellent for durability.I used it to place inside a large igloo doghouse for back insulation. The rectangular shape is perfect for large kennels, or to just have on the floor. However way it's use, it'll be there for a while.

My dog chewed right through this dog bed that you said Not a very good chew proof bed.My dog ate it like it was nothing

I wouldn't say indestructible my dog chewed through this bed within a few days but if your dog isn't a chewer I'd recommend the bed ... just wasn't a fit for mine .
