My Ghost Story UpgradeThis review is for a purchase to upgrade to a new Ghost Solar Power Dual Gate controller with the upgraded circuit board. The first generation did not have the ability to add the Ghost Controls Multi Connect Kit which requires a new circuit board. With a quick install we can now open our gates from anywhere, Nice!Note: make sure you order the correct parts. This is only for the new systems with a red circuit board.Installation: was very simple. Following the instructions, both from the manual and videos made everything very easy. Make sure the system is turned off. The hardest part was getting the wire into the box through a weatherproof seal. I managed to get it through with the solar wires. Plug in, turn on, download the app, follow the instruction and voila! Well, getting the app connected to the gate is a little bit more work. Just make sure the GHOST multi connect light is on and app will guide you through the restPros: This works amazing! The app has so many features:Displays a history logs (only from administration login )Displays battery levelsMode display. Displays the current mode and you can change modes easily.Visually shows the gate open, closed or opening/closingShare a key with anyone and control their accessSettings for Bluetooth, WiFi, InternetSettings for notification, auto close, battery, system state, lock controls, diagnostic, and so much more.Cons:You can only look at the history log from the Admin phone. I shared a key with my wife and gave her admin level security but she and no-one else can see the log. Not a bi deal but this could be improved.I did notice that not all of their circuit boards are created equal. If you ordered a single, it was the exact board as the others but it did not have a solar power supply or a second gate wire connection. If I bought a single and later decided to make it a double or change to solar, I could not. I know Ghost makes more money this way but versatility and reliability is what I am buying in for.

I have not had a chance to use this yet, due to one of my livestock guardian dogs chewing the box up on my porch and pulling the RG cable out and then proceeding to chew that up. Warning the RG cables will not survive a 100 pound Great Pyrenees shepherd attach. :) I went to the Ghost Control website and looked for a replacement cable with no luck. So I sent an email to their customer service, told them what happened, said I wanted to buy a replacement cable, and they shipped me one for free and it should be here any day now. Fantastic customer service. All the other parts in the system are working great so I have no doubt this will as well.

Best addition to our automatic gate. Syncs to the phone and allows friends and family to visit easily. Works well.

This little gadget to my gate makes life so much easier. From being able to open and close the gate on my phone to troubleshooting, it’s well worth the money!!

The ghost 'phone' connect kit works great. control the gate from iOS blue tooth.we don't connect to the web, can't comment on that part. likely is good as well.

Hands down the best add on we’ve purchased for our gate. A little bit of a learning curve on the app, but I’m also old and slow… so there’s that. The range on this box is great. Even for the Bluetooth. Definitely recommend.

Guess I should have looked to see if I had the red board. It doesn't work with the green board. Wtf . Now you have to spend 275.00 more to change out the board and a controller. After spending 1500.00 on keypad , mount for keypad, battery's, battery box, controller, gate opener, you couldn't put the red board is all of them ? After all that you can get a much better system for much cheaper.
