Beautiful Illustrations, Fun and Interactive Song/Story!
My daughter loves the "Wheels on the Bus" song, so when I found this Halloween version, she was thrilled. The illustrations are bright, colorful, and engaging. Even though there are monsters, witches, and ghosts in the book, they are drawn in a friendly way so as not to frighten a young child. She sings along with me as we read it and it holds her attention wonderfully. It definitely encourages active participation and also has a counting concept built into it for numbers 1-10. After we read it, I usually have my daughter help me count the cats, witches, monsters, etc. on each page to practice her counting skills or I'll ask her what colors certain objects are, so there's a lot of education value to the book as well as just being fun to sing along to.Some of the lyrics are : "One spooky bus goes rattle and shake, rattle and shake, rattle and shake. One spooky bus goes rattle and shake all through the town." "Three noisy cats go meow, hiss, hiss, meow, hiss, hiss, meow, hiss, hiss. Three noisy cats go meow, hiss, hiss, all through the town." "Ten goofy ghosts say, "Boo-oo-oo, Boo-oo-oo, Boo-oo-oo, Ten goofy ghosts say, "Boo-oo-oo all through the town."We enjoy the book so much that we bought another one for my daughter's preschool teacher to share with the class this Halloween. Very cute and interactive story/song!

A great simple, yet fun book for Halloween.
The media could not be loaded. I have a tradition I started for some holidays, not all.A new book and pair of pajamas for the night before Halloween. I think itâs a great way to get them excited and incorporate reading and books as much as you can.My child is 20 months old and a book fanatic. He can be picky about books though, if they hold his interest, if the pictures are good and more. If he doesnât sit through it, then I know itâs not for him.He really enjoyed this book. He loves songs, wheels on the bus - buses are his favorite. If thatâs your child, then theyâll love it too. And even if they donât enjoy wheels on the bus the way they illustrated and wrote the book makes it interactive because you have to sing the words. Itâs not a story, just a Halloween twist to wheels on the bus.Another thing - it has great Halloween vocabulary. Iâve been teaching my little one ghost, bat, pumpkin, witch etc. He really picked up on those throughout the book. And of course Schoolastic has great age appropriate books and have been around for many, many years. I remember them as a younger child.Happy Halloween!

Okay Halloween book
Book is nice but a little long. My toddler did sit through the entire reading but interrupted a few times to ask if it was almost done. Infant likes too as wheels on the bus is her favorite song

So cute!
My 1 year old loves this book! She loves regular wheels on the bus and this book cracks her up. I like to get really into it and shake her when it says ârattle and shake.â So fun!
