I got my Malabar Tamarind plant and it looks great! It came well-packed and healthy, and I’m excited to see it grow and hopefully produce fruit soon.

Malabar tamarind, also known as kudampuli or Garcinia cambogia, is a tropical fruit native to India and Southeast Asia. It is widely used in South Indian and Sri Lankan cooking, especially in fish curries, to add a tangy, slightly smoky flavor. The fruit resembles a small pumpkin and is typically dried and used as a souring agent in cooking. Rich in hydroxycitric acid (HCA), it is also marketed as a weight-loss supplement, though scientific evidence on its effectiveness remains inconclusive. In traditional medicine, kudampuli has been used to aid digestion, reduce cholesterol, and manage diabetes.
