Tiny rack with SERIOUS quality and BIG features!!!!
I have to confess, i don't always write long reviews for products i buy, Generally because i buy something, it's nothing exciting, i use it an that's the end of that.... This on the other hand has been something i have wanted for a long time and FINALLY got round to buying.First and foremost, packaging was great, lots of squishy foam and item arived in perfect condition. No assembaly needed. Obviously you will need to move things around to your liking but it's only a cross head for any screws and allen key for the frame (not that you need to change that)Build quality (i hope i showed in my pictures) is SOLID!!! thick alu extrusion and thick smoked plexi on the sides. Screws have plastic washers so won't scratch your kit and the extrusions have pre-drilled holes so no fiddling with racknuts (which i hate)Decent ventalation up top and open at the rear. Nice rubber feet on the base to help dampen vibrations. The handles at the top are also metal and screwed in to the rest of the metal frame so you will be able to pick up and move without worrying about things falling apart. The included DeskPi adapters are pretty cool, moving the USB-C and HDMI to the rear of the board to make mounting super neat and tidy, my bag of screws also included many standoffs for various mounting options and what look like heatset inserts you could use on 3d printed brackets (or maybe they are joiners.... either way that's cool :-)Super stoked to get building in this little rack of mine and have already printed out some test fit parts to mount my UniFi networking kit and ZimaBoards into the rack :-)Would i recommend? YES YES and YES again (infact, already got a few of my techy buds looking into it! :-)

Solid Rack But Not Perfect
I've been looking for a way to better organise my stack of TinyMiniMicro nodes for a while, and this seemed like the perfect option. Combine this with a whole world of 3D printable / off the shelf 10" rack accessories and you've got a lovely little stack.Unboxing was impressive. Everything is packed well, and neatly laid out in layers of foam cut to size. This makes laying out the kit before assembly nice and easy, and also is great for doing the initial check against the (well illustrated) assembly guide to check that all pieces are supplied and intact.Once built it's a good looking and sturdy mini rack. I'd maybe like to see slightly larger rubber feet to give a) a bit more stability and b) a bit more of a height gap over the floor level if you wanted bottom mounted fans, but that's a minor quibble. There are a couple of aspects of the kit that I'm not fond of:- The head of the supplied philips driver feels like it's going to keep skipping and eventually either it or the rack screws will strip. Something doesn't match up well there.- For an 8U rack, you're only given 24 rack screws. Assume 4 screws for a decent fixing per 1U and you're not going to fill your rack with what's provided.- While it's nice to have pre-drilled holes for rack screws as opposed to fiddling with cage nuts, I loathe 10-32. Metric standards do exist, and are far more internationally friendly (cost & availability) than whatever abomination the Americans use.- The SBC shelf seems like a poor choice of default accessory. It's not like they're not available separately, but they're of no use if you're not putting SBCs into your rack. Another rack shelf or a lower price would make more sense. This is a product likely to be bought by people with a specific setup / goal in mind, so there's no real appeal in having a variety of extras just for the sake of showing what's on offer.Still, it's a good shortcut package when I'm not in the mood to build a custom frame and want to focus on populating the rack instead. I'll try to get some photos up once I have it fully loaded.

Perfect rack
The perfect start to me building my own NAS. This rack is extremely sturdy and has perfect layers for fixing in my storage so I can access it anywhere and at max speeds as well. Perfect aeration for the components, and clear sides to view it all. The sturdy overall build is a treat, and proper handles just mean moving ti is even easier. 10/10........absolutely recommend

Lovely little rack cabinet but has issues
Firstly, the build quality looks good, time will tell if it lasts. The accessories provided overall are good and useful. However, it has a few issues. As Jeff Geerling pointed out in one of his videos, the blanking plates are too tall. 1 of the plates fits snuggly against other items in the rack. The other 2 are too tall and project in to the other Units. So they can't be used with anything that takes up a full rack unit. It appears to be the folded edges top and bottom which protrude in to the unit space above and below. As I say, one of them is spot on and the other two aren't.In addition, there are no spare bolts provided with the rack. I'm surprised that extra bolts (and washers) weren't provided for the blank spaces within the rack. 12 extra bolts would mean you could fill the rack with additional equipment. Not to worry, i can't use the 2 blanking plates due to their faults so I have 8 spare nuts & washers.Be aware that not all 10 inch accessories will fit in this rack. Not sure if that's the fault of the rack or the 3rd party accessories. I purchased a Digitus 10 inch patch panel and it's about 2mm too wide to fit between the vertical rails. I need to make adjustments to the patch panel to make it fit better that than paying more than twice the price for the DeskPi patch panel which wastes space in the rack at less than 1U, unless you plan to use 2 of them together.Overall it's a lovely little rack but let down but the lack of additional bolts and incorrectly sized blanking plates.
