Good for beginners, but not beyond.
Very similar to the body coach.Good fun workouts, split between resistance focused and hiit workouts. The variation of resistance to hiit depends on your training goals. However, I was hoping for more - as someone who has trained for about 15 years and already go the gym regularly i got nothing from this. The training split isn’t new or original, and the exercises are fairly standard movements. The thing that lets this book down the most is the nutrition.Like the body coach the idea is that you cycle your carbs around your training. However many of the recipes in this book, probably in an effort to make them look tasty and appealing to a mass audience, are far too high in the wrong macros to achieve really good results. So many of the high carb/low fat meals are too high in fat, and the low carb/high fat meals are too high in carbs. The body coach is also guilty of this with his later more ‘family’ focused groups. This is the main problem with the book - in an effort to appeal to as many people as possible it offers something less effective. However if you’ve never trained before and want to transform your physique you’ll probably do well with this book and it gives you a method of how to breakdown your own macros, which is essentially what you pay £100 for with the body coach. If you’re male - better option would be nick mitchell’s Ultimate body transformation plan.

Clear, simple, Concise and Simply lovely!
A sensational book with clear, simple and concise steps in order to get yourself into shape. Whether you're a regular gym goer, a new starter or like myself an keen Gym / Fitness / Gym freak then this ticks all the boxes. The recipes within the book are 'simply simply lovely' and even the students could use these meals as a cheap alternative. Fantastic stuff!

special son
brought for my son he has been looking for it for a while, brought it as a present for him for donating money at a funeral we went to(TOM BOWDIDGE FOUNDATION A TEENAGE CANCER FUND.) The funeral was for a teacher that taught my son that died suddenly, I hadn't any money on me at the time so he put his own money in,(he's 16 just finished his exams and is not working, he volunteers at the local hospice when he's not at school) he loves the book and thinks James is great .

A roadmap for reaching your fitness goals
I found this book to be an excellent roadmap to help me in reaching my fitness goals. Very accessible for a fitness novice but there are enough steps to keep on making progress as my fitness has improved. It was particularly useful for me getting to grips with the many different exercises that are clearly explained throughout. This book has helped me enormously and now become a big part of my life! Very informative on nutrition also.
