My first time using a crimper, easy to use
Great product, thought I could do it without the crimper before, and I could not. Glad I was able to use this to repair my PV Panel cable after I'm pretty sure my dogs pulled it loose running under the wires

Super easy to use just follow the prompts
This crimp device is so easy to use I now cut wires to my length and crimp them so easily the connectors quality and frame and rubber boots to prevent them from getting wet I think it's awesome I love it and the connecting is so easy.

Quality
I was replacing the MC4 connectors on two solar panels and bought this ( even though it was more expensive than other offers on Amazon) . I have found out the hard way if you buy cheap items you usually find out they just are aggravation in a package. This item performed as good as possible. Two things I would include in the kit is a single sheet of paper illustrated with a large drawing of the components in order of use ( especially the metal connectors ) . I'm new at this. So it was confusing at first ie the female metal pins go with the male plastic housing. The male pins go with the female plastic housing. And the second thing I would suggest is to let people know to squeeze the very end of the crimper in order for it to release into the full open position. I thought mine was broken. I could not get it to open unless I used a screwdriver to release the pin at where they " scissored ". You have to squeeze the handle at the very end in order to get it to open. ( I hope I'm not the only one to have had this problem ). After I realized this , smooth sailing. But man I couldn't get it to open at first. Now, it's like I've used it all my life. I don't think I made a single bad crimp and the panels are operational. I have since purchased an addition 10 pairs of BougeRV connectors for future connections. I'm told you should stick to the same brand of MC4 connectors because all pins are not perfectly made exactly the same so if you mix them they might not fit like you want. Hope this helps and I hope BougeRV listens.

Perfect for the large MC4 connectors that are included. Won’t disassemble smaller versions.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Everything needed for typical mc4 connections. However, two sizes exist and the 2 wrenches are identical thus the smaller mc4 connectors can not be disassembled with this kit.

Great Crimping Package
This crimper is designed for lug type terminals and does three sizes with a ratching-type crimp action. It comes in a nice outer plastic bag and consists of a carrying case and 6 sets of MC4 solar connectors (pairs) complete with good looking "silver plated" inner connector pieces. It also includes two wrenches (identical to each other) that are used for the final tightening of the MC4 connector bodies. The crimper secures in the case with two straps and a velcro binding and the MC4 connector pairs are in velcro closure pouches which keeps everything neat and in order. If a set of connectors are used, it frees up one of the pockets for other accessories like different style cable ends. The case is well made and has a zipper closure (one thing that could be improved is to include a tie in the zipper tongue to make it easier to get hold of - it tends to be hard to reach when unzipped). The sizes of the three crimping dies are labeled with square mm but no information is included on how die size translates to wire size, so that needs to be looked up - a simple instruction sheet would be helpful.Pretty much all that's needed for making good quality crimps for MC4 connectors and other lug type wire ends, and a handy carrying bag that compactly fits in with a tool collection.Everything needed to do
