Why did you choose this product over others?:The wheel works really well at supporting a very heavy gate while leaving it easy to open and close.It does need a bit of thought about where to position it on the gate but once that was worked out it was easy to install.

Would have been better if locking nuts supplied

We bought this Gate Castor Wheel to support a heavy wooden garage door as we were concerned that constant opening and closing was putting too much strain on its hinges. It proved to be very well made and, as claimed, did indeed have a heavy duty spring. Installation was easy and it's performed perfectly over the past ~2 years. As it's used outdoors we were concerned it might rust. So far, however, it's absolutely fine. Recommended.

Good quality, solid unit. Rubber wheel is excellent quality.

was expecting the spring to be a bit strong however with a little bit tinkering when fitting it did the job and is still working
