Kaytee Forti-Diet Pro Health Pet Hamster & Gerbil Food, 3 Pound

We buy this for our chinese hamster and she seems happy. There is a good variety for her to choose from. It is mostly just seeds with a green nugget that she only eats occasionaly (it turns her poop green so I can tell). She's a dwarf hamster so she tends to favor the smaller pieces, but who knows what she's actually eating. Hamsters like to hoard so I end up throwing most of this away when I clean her cage, but I love seeing her huge stash. I appreciate the cheap price ($6) and that it gives her the rounded out nutrition she needs.

My guinea pigs go crazy for this food I have tried different foods they really didn't care for them until I found this they get so happy to see my coming with their food.

My chinchilla is very picky about food. He won't eat many things I try, but he will eat this one because he likes some of the seeds in it.

My gerbils like it fine. They pick out the parts they like (seeds) and leave the parts they don't like (pellets), which has me concerned that they're not getting a balanced and nutritionally complete diet. This mix is quite heavy on sunflower seeds, which are too fattening to be a staple of a small animal's diet. I prefer the Kaytee Fiesta mix, which also has sunflower seeds but much fewer of them.

Our little girl loved him, gobbled him right up. She seemed very satisfied.
