Good wires
I don't normally take time to write reviews but because there's so many contradicting reviews I thought I'd share my experience. These wires ARE the correct size. I matched them up to the old ones 1 by 1 and installed them one at a time so I knew where they were going. This was on a 99 VW Beetle 2.0.I was having a problem with the car jumping very badly and would not accelerate. When I'd pull out it would jump and skip and struggle to get to 40 mph. Once I got it to 55 or 60 it felt pretty normal. I put new spark plugs in hoping that was it but it didn't help. I was going to buy a used car to replace the Beetle because I didn't want to pay for expensive repairs on a car with 270,000 miles. But my father suggested trying new wires. I didn't think it would help but I bought them to give it one last try. I'm glad I did. The car drives much better and no more jerking and skipping (knock on wood). Also, my check engine light that has been on for years is no longer lit.

Fits 2001 VW Jetta 2.0L
Works great and DOES fit a 2001 VW Jetta 2.0L 4Cyl. However, as others have noted wires 1 and 2 are substantially shorter than the factory wires and cannot be installed the same way. To install them you must route them without the original bracket mounted cable guides and wire 1 must go under the intake manifold. They can be secured with wire and the free hanging factory cable clips with a little creativity. Despite these issues I give it 5 stars since they are MUCH cheaper than the alternatives on Amazon and especially for those available by Prime. Also, comes with a small tube of dielectric grease so it saves you having to buy a whole bottle for one wire job.

Clean, tight fit
I installed these on my 2000 VW Beetle. I was at first concerned that #4 was short but it fit nicely. All four lines routed pretty flat behind the intake manifold. This, plus new spark plugs, and the engine is running like it doesn't have 255k miles on it.

Make sure they fit!!!
I bought these for my 2001 VW Golf 2.0L AZG, however they did not fit. At the time I bought them there was also another NGK set listed that I think probably fit. I ended up buying the Bosch set that I believe is OEM and it fit perfectly. I believe this set might fit earlier 2001 models. On my engine the #1 and #2 wires are a lot longer. Pay careful attention to the length of these two wires in the pictures. There is quite a difference. I hope that this helps someone.

Avoid these, poor quality, failed soon after installing
I associate NGK with high quality and try to only buy NGK spark plugs when purchasing them for my vehicles. However, this spark plug wire set does not meet that quality standard. I installed these in my 2012 VW Jetta three months ago. Worked fine initially, but last week it started misfiring on one cylinder. These plug wires were failing. I replaced them with a set of new VW original plug wires. Runs perfectly again. I suggest spending the extra money to purchase the VW-branded ones.

Perfect fit, Quality construction
For a 2001 VW Jetta 2.0L these plug wires are the perfect fit. Pay no attention to any negative review about the lengths not matching up IMO mine were identical to the last wires, which were installed by the VW dealer.I would also mention that the thickness of the wires and rugged construction of the boots would seem to indicate a top quality plug wire with plenty of insulation. Thicker than the ones I took off which, again, had been installed at the dealership. Whether the LOOKS of the plug wires actually translates into a quality plug can only be determined after using them for 50k miles or so. I doubt I'll think of posting a follow up review then.Bottom line is these seem to be a excellent plug and the price is less than half of the cost of any Nappa, Autozone, CARQUEST shop I could fine. Buy them!

To short
Cylinder 2 wire 2 inches to short. Cyl 1 wire 4 inches to short. Think this is a recurring problem. Disappointing as I’ve had good luck with ngk products in the past and I’m past the returns date. Will try to remedy with Amazon as I think this is continually happening with this product.
