I bought this set as a visual aid for my organic chemistry class. This modeling kit made it so much easier to visualize how the structures look and to see how the different atoms are able to rotate when connected.

This is super helpful if your in o-chem or even gen-chem. I would recommend getting on with a few more connectors and molecule options. But great quality!

For High school Chemistry, this is a life saver.Chemistry REQUIRES some sensory component - and short of playing with fire and freaky liquids in a school lab, this set is a safe and multi level manipulative.The set is "just too small" to allow for all the building of all the curriculum molecules - but it's amazing at explaining the balancing of a chemical reaction. On one tray, place the reactants - on another tray, the products of the reaction. Balance it out.For a student with complex learning disability, I would recommend buying and using two sets. (a set twice as big might not have the pieces needed)

Here is Thymine (half rung) and part of the DNA backbone built from these. I agree with the other comments, box could use a latch of sorts, but the suggestions of elastic bands or gallon ziplocks (or both) are great suggestions. I found the quality great. The bonds work reliably, hold well and aren't loose or too difficult. As soon as I got it, I made benzene (with double bonds alternating), N2 (triple bond) and a whole host of other things including nitric and sulfuric acids. I'm seriously considering getting more kits.

These are a great study tool for organic chemistry. Allows you to see thing in 3-D compared to the 2-D questions that you are asked

This is a good kit for beginners, but will not hold up over time. The connections were very loose to begin with and after only a few months, the bonds will fall right out.

Delivery was great. The product looks great. The size is perfect, but the kit is wrong. I ordered and paid for the larger kit and received the smaller one without the orbitals. I ordered the one with 252 pieces. I received the one with only 200 pieces. Not happy.New Review...company IMMEDIATELY sent the correct kit. Great customer service!Happy now!😁
