Excellent Product
I love my Chefman! I've used it for Christmas, New Year's, and Easter, and I can confidently say that it keeps my food warm. No more long lines in front of the microwave or using metal pans over open flames. I highly recommend this product!

Great for Parties
This thing is a party lifesaver and fantastic! Looks cool on the table. It's hot without overheating or drying out the food. So easy to manage the temperature for different food.

Do not use as your shabbat plata / shabbos plate
Not allowed for Shabbos - Not allowed for ShabbatWarming tray for shabbat/Shabbos must not have a thermostat - do not use it on Shabbat - do not use it for Shabbos - it is like cooking on shabbos/shabbos and this transgressing shabbos. A "Shabbat Hotplate" is aptly named: It is used to keep food hot on Shabbat. Because of its low heat level, this equipment usually cannot actually cook food. In addition, in order to maintain the heat it is often necessary to cover the pots with one or more layers of cloth or other material. The hotplate maintains a constant low heat output which is not influenced by whether more or less pots are placed on it (since there is no thermostat present). Some of the newest models of hotplates have a dual setting, one for cooking and one for maintaining a low heat level. This type of hotplate is more complicated in halachic terms. Why is halachic approval needed for a Shabbat hotplate? First, there should not be a thermostat controlling the temperature according to a dial setting, because if a thermostat is present placing a pot on the hotplate has a direct effect on the heating element. In addition, there should not be any way to regulate the heat output using an external switch or dial. If such a dial exists, The Zomet Institute insists that it be covered to render it inaccessible on Shabbat.Ashkenzim allow putting hot solid food on a hotplate on Shabbat only if something is placed between the hotplate and the pot, such as an inverted plate or the cover of a pot or a jar. Sephardim, on the other hand, permit placing a pot with cooked solid food directly on the surface of the hotplate. A "Shabbat Hotplate" is aptly named: It is used to keep food hot on Shabbat. Bought as a gift
Bought as a gift for my cousin since she hosts alot of events. She absolutely loves it. Kept appetizers hot and then roasted broccoli and potatoes nice and hot for christmas dinner without burning them on the bottom. The seperation between the counter and the unit was comforting as I was worried about the mat style from other brands damaging her counter. This one was perfect because it has the legs so its not directly on the counter. Well functioning and Very easy to clean just like a glass top stove if anyone spills.Would purchase again for sure and my cousin raved it was an amazing gift she will use all year long.Great gift for anyone who wants a warm place to have food for buffet style events or parties.

Great job keeping food warm and elegant looking
The only reason I was not able to give a 5 star rating is that I could not place good that was in an aluminum pan and had to use ceramic serving dishes. I realize that this is not a restriction of the item, but a limitation of the current technology. Thankfully we have several serving dishes which made this years thanksgiving a great hit amongst the family. I love the low profile for storing a top my refrigerator. Also the size was perfect for the island in the kitchen. We were able to have guest go around the island and select their food like a serving station. I purchased two and I am on the fence with purchasing another one or a roll-up warming mat. I feel the roll-up mat likely does not have the no metal restrictions as this product has. The idea is the disposable tins that I can keep warm as the food is being prepared.Over all, I like the product and had several inquiries and compliments on the look and ability to keep the dishes warm. But the vision I initially had was the utilization of aluminum pans to reduce the amount of dishes and cleanup after the event. I will admit, my serving dishes and platters made our event look so nice to be honest. That is opposed to looking like a barbecue cook out for Thanksgiving…I do recommend this product with the understanding that there are a couple of restrictions that the buyer should be aware of if they have a goal or vision.

Nice buffet server
Very nice product. It looks good on a buffet table, it is easy to use, it cleans well, and it held 2 glass 12 x 9 dishes. On high, it will burn the bottom of your food but on low or medium it kept things warm for hours. Slim design so easy to store.,

Best Warming Tray
I bought 2 of these warming trays for the holidays and have used them several times for parties as well. Fits several dishes and all my food was kept warm. When I lifted the lids off my food, you could see the steam rising. Best thing I purchased.

Very fragile glass top
We bought this for a party my wife was having. We brought the warmer out, turned it on for the first time.Somebody decided to move it farther back on the counter top.Pushed it against the tile corner on the wall and the tempered glass top shattered. You would think that they would have the stainless steel outer frame that would protect the glass top, but noooo.Tempered glass is really strong straight on, but very easy to break by hitting the edge.Definitely our fault, but could have been designed better.
