20 year old home needs these
My twenty year old rental home has a few windows that don’t sit right and can’t be locked. This is an easy cost effective solution to ensuring the windows cannot be opened from outside easily. I guess the house has settled and the windows don’t fully fit down into the seal. Half the windows won’t open anymore as we found out last summer when a hurricane knocked the power out for 10 days.

Does its job
I’m giving this four stars because the package I received was also open but all the parts were in it so it really didn’t bother me at all. And I’m not sure what people are talking about. I put it on my windows and it works just fine. You can’t raise the wind window. There’s a plastic piece inside of it that stops it from doing any damage to the window so I’m not sure what the reviews that are bad or about, but I thought it worked fine and is doing its job.

Terrible window locks
I bought these to use to keep my windows from opening further with the AC units installed. These are terrible. First, the pad that comes with them that's supposed to prevent the vinyl from being scratched are useless. They simply fall out. Nothing is holding them in place. Secondly, the moment they're tightened, they slip right off.I can't even imagine trying to use these things for security purposes. Returning them for a refund.

Just buy it
Wow what a size it’s easy to install but that black rubber strip difficulty to stay in place to screw in . But it does work with out it gives me peace of mind
