Underrated and amazing
Use this with my boyfriend when we ride together. Bluetooth works great, speaker works great, easy to install. Doesn’t lose connection at all. Volume goes very high. Makes it easy to call while riding. Great for music as well. Got these as a starter Cardo and we love them so much. No need to upgrade to the more expensive ones.

Way better blue tooth unit for a Helmet!
I had an older unit and bought a new helmet and I decided to upgrade a bit. Instructions were a little tough to understand on pairing with the phone once that was done and installed all the speakers and mic sound is awesome!

Great sound quality in an economical package
The Spirit HD is a great choice that balances economy with functionality. The unit itself is compactly-designed, mounts solidly to your helmet (I have a Shoei Neotec 3) and the four buttons are easy to operate with gloves on. The 40mm speakers deliver solid sound quality and the included spacers allow you to place the speakers close to your ears for optimum sound. I bought this after looking at lots of reviews for more expensive units that seemed to say that they didn't see much improvement over this one, and my experience bears that out.

So far it’s great.
Used it for the first time today and installed it without any instructions. The speaker with the shorter wire is the left ear. It’s louder than you’d want it to be. Great for music, podcasts, talking to riders, or even sending text messages hands free. With an iPhone you can have Siri read the last text sent and respond to it with just your voice and pushing a button on the Spirit to activate Siri.

Worth every penny
Easy to install, connect and use. Great sound from the speakers, I have no problem jamming out with straight pipes on my bike, it drowns them out. The microphone works great for calls, even while riding. I haven't had the opportunity to test the intercom function yet, but a friend has one so that should happen soon. Battery life if great, as advertised, and the Bluetooth signal is the strongest I've ever seen. I've been up to 50 feet from my phone and inside the house without missing a beat with the Bluetooth. Highly recommended.

Worth the money, good sound and calls.
This is the second unit I have ordered, the first was missing parts which Cardo and Amazon were willing to handle. The new unit sounds good, but will probably upgrade from the 40mm speakers to the 45mm JOE'S. Call quality was excellent even with high wind noise at over 75mph. Was clearly understandable to my caller. Sound quality is good, so overall I'm impressed with this unit.

This unit is fantastic!
I wanted a basic helmet comm so I could hear GPS directions from my iPhone. After researching available products and consulting an experienced friend, I went with this Cardo Spirit HD. This thing is fantastic. Easy and clean installation. It pairs easily with my iPhone and has PLENTY of crystal clear volume. While I hadn’t originally “needed” voice comm, I really like having it. I highly recommend this product. That said, I can’t comment on bike to bike communication since I ride alone. But this product 100% meets my needs and exceeded my expectations.

Great for music, not for communication
I bought the dual set for my husband and me to use while dirt biking — mainly for safety reasons like checking in if one of us falls, has a mechanical issue, or just to stay connected on the trail. The listing claims a communication range of 600 meters, but unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. While riding in a more wooded area, we started losing connection at around 100 feet. Understanding that terrain can affect signal strength, we tested again in an open area with a clear line of sight, and even then, the connection dropped at under 200 feet. Because reliable communication was our main purpose for buying these, we ended up returning them. That said, the headset did work well for music. The sound quality was surprisingly good — clear and loud enough to enjoy while still staying aware of our surroundings. Battery life was also impressive; after three hours of riding, the headset still had plenty of charge left.If your primary need is to listen to music while riding, this could be a solid option. But for communication between riders, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
