I recently got back into soldering some of my electronics and needed a way to remove solder from either my poor work or others, mostly mine... This stuff seems to work very well. The inclusion of flux in the solder wick is awesome to say the least. The flux greatly enhances the wick's desoldering performance by effectively absorbing and dissolving solder, resulting in clean removal of unwanted connections. This feature alone sets Lesnow's product apart from many other wicks on the market. The wick's width is ideal, allowing me to work with different-sized solder joints with ease. The wick is made of high-quality materials, ensuring it doesn't easily fray or break during use. The weave of the braid is just right, striking a perfect balance between absorption and capillary action, making it an effective solder sucker up-er.

This generous 10' length of wick works well to quickly and easily remove solder from your electronics for repairs and rework. The wick is thin, so it can get into tight areas, yet holds its shape where placed without drooping, and the wicking action is near insan even with little heat. The color change is very visible when saturated with solder so you know when to move to another section of wick. The wick is strong and also cuts easily with a scissors leaving no loose strands or sharp edges. Great addition to plunger or bulb suction tools for when larger areas or gentler solder removal is required.

This is a pretty basic product - finely braided copper mesh that wicks up hot solder. It did exactly what it needed to. Make sure your soldering iron tip is very clean so it transfers heat quickly through the wick, and make sure it's hot enough to quickly melt the solder. Use repeated short applications of heat. Switch to a new section of wick often. The wick may stick to the board if there's a solder bond between them - don't pull it loose since it might leave some little wire strands behind, just add another touch of heat until the solder is melted and pull the wick loose. Then switch to a new section of wick. It took me some trial and error but in the end it got the job done.

Does the job. I wasn't really looking at the specifics when I ordered but it does what it's supposed to do.

Excellent product, easy to use, and works fast to remove soldering. Recommend to others without hesitation.

Solder wicks are helpful in two ways. First in removing old solder; second in evenly applying new solder.

I could not desoder with out this. Its a must
