Great CarPlay Dongle for the money!
This is an excellent USB Dongle for any Android Car Radio. I followed the instructions and downloaded the app required from the manual it comes with onto the stereo and after some very easy trial and error with figuring out the settings it worked flawlessly. One thing I did notice is when I went to play music and podcasts through Spotify it would start playing for a few seconds then stop so I pressed play again but it still stopped after only a few seconds then I realized there’s something about the phone being connected to the same radio’s Bluetooth at the same time as using the CarPlay but once I turned off my cellphone’s Bluetooth Spotify played perfectly so I just have to remember to turn Bluetooth off on my cell if I’m going to use the USB CarPlay Dongle. Even stock CarPlay connections could occasionally be glitchy from what I’ve seen, my cousin’s Honda Accord comes with CarPlay built into the stock radio and he says every now and then he has to unplug it and plug it back in a few seconds later when it acts up so even though I haven’t had to do the same with this yet if it ever does freeze up or slow down that’s what I’ll do. This Dongle is perfect for what I need it for and at the best price I could find for one since they can get ridiculously overpriced elsewhere. If you need this don’t wait just get it you’ll be glad you did!

Nope not for 2016 Silverado with no CarPlay
Have a 2016 Silverado with no apple play but on there YouTube and TikTok advertising it says no carPlay no problem for mirroring iPhone well I have a iPhone 14 pro and did downloads from info on install paper from computer plus they sent a email but was the same info and nothing worked didn’t do a thing but charge the phone which my port already did!

El producto es muy bueno, ahora estoy viviendo el poder manejar mi celular con todas la ventajas que brinda la plataforma de AppleCarPlay!La instalación es fácil si el cable del radio de fábrica no cuenta con una extensión, ya que al tenerla el voltaje se reduce y este equipo debe trabajar siempre con los 5V. A mi me sucedió en un Toyota Hilux con un Medía Player modelo S200 que al momento de la instalación los proveedores del vehículo le pusieron una extensión al cable original del radio y esto hacía que el equipo, a pesar de que el AutoLink en su prueba de detección cuenta con los 3 checks, el equipo no lo reconoce.Otro tío es que el cable del celular debe ser original para que todo trabaje en orden.Por lo demás es un producto altamente recomendable!

fiddley to get started
I found this somewhat difficult to get started (I'm using Android Auto). I had to plug and unplug several times and fiddle with a couple of settings before it was happy. The manufacturer claimed that they only support sales directly from them, but they helped me anyway, suggesting the appropriate settings to try changing.Once everything is working, it suddenly became easy. Just plug in, and it pops right up, ready to go.So, be patient, and be willing to do a little fiddling, and the results will be rewarding.Also, resist the urge to use a crappy USB cable. The ones rated for fast charging are better.P.S. I recommend going to the manufacturer to get the latest software. I think it's a little newer than the link provided in the listing. Once you get the software running, it looks like it is able to automatically update itself, so you only have to load it "the hard way" once.

Didn’t work right away
Product wasn’t working until I deleted an aftermarket navigation app “Waze” then it was slow to connect and kept disconnecting somehow ! Poor quality product do not buy

El equipo dejó de funcionar al poco tiempo
Dejo de funcionar en unos días, al principio fue genial pero al poco tiempo ya no funcionó, hice las actualizaciones del software y aún así ya no quiso , intenté regresarlo pero Amazon ya no permitió la devolución. No lo compren, evítense la pena!

Finally!!! 2016 Honda Pilot
It works!!!I bought my 2016 Honda Pilot without navigation system because the salesman assured me the HondaLink app would be able to mirror my phone. Never happened, and I was mad. I bought this dongle and after much browsing, I found that all I had to do was download “HondaHack” (auto hack.org) to a usb, download it to my car and after paying $25 for the pro, it would actually allow me to install the AutoKit app needed to use the dongle as CarPlay. My Android version is 4.2.2 and it did work.
