A Fascinating and Approachable Introduction to Quantum Physics
I bought this book as a gift for my dad for Christmas, hoping it would introduce him to the basics and maybe spark some curiosity. He's not someone who typically reads about science, but always asks me some far-fetched questions, so I wasn't sure how it would go - but to my surprise, he enjoyed it!This book does a great job of making complex topics feel more approachable. It breaks down ideas like wave theory and quantum mechanics in a way that's easy to follow, even for someone with no background in the subject. That being said, some parts were still a bit tricky for him to wrap his head around (which is fair, quantum physics is pretty mind-bending!). But I am glad that it got him thinking, asking questions, and engaging with concepts he'd never really considered before, and assumed the whole thing was a hoax!By the end, he said he still wasn't sure he believed everything he read, but it definitely made him curious - which is exactly what I was hoping for. If you're looking for an accessible introduction to quantum physics that gets people thinking without overwhelming them, this is a great choice.

Inspiring
An inspiring insight into Quantum Physics. Loved it. You also get access to an audio version which is ideal if you want to sit in the sun and just listen.

Good book, well worth a read.
I gained a Chemistry degree over 50 years ago and so I already had some knowledge of quantum physics. However, even then I found the book most usefull and I can recommend it.

Started off good but then the author forgot his audience about half way through.

A Dive into Quantum Physics - With a Superhero Bonus
Carl Pratt's book on quantum physics is a solid attempt to break down a complex scientific field. The handling of intricate theories and principles of quantum physics is commendable. While it dives deep swiftly, the commitment to make the content digestible is evident. The bonus content, using superhero abilities as a physics exploration, adds an unexpected yet intriguing layer. It doesn't overshadow the primary focus, rather, it enriches the experience, stimulating further thought into the principles of physics. One aspect that could be improved is the book's accessibility for beginners. Some of the theoretical transitions could benefit from more comprehensive explanations or simplified analogies.Despite minor areas for improvement, the book makes strides in bringing quantum physics to a wider audience. It's a worthy read that encourages conversation and curiosity about the subject. In conclusion, Carl's work is a commendable blend of hard science and popular culture, making quantum physics more approachable. I look forward to his future contributions in this field.

This is truly terrible book - do not waste your money
Please do not buy this, it is truly terrible. Has every appearance of being written by AI and not even checked. Factually inaccurate in places, totally misleading in others, and grammatically shocking. There are much much better books on this subject around. So little care has gone into putting this book together that even simple grammatical mistakes have not been taken out.
