Western Caribbean Vacation MVP!
I highly recommend this fan! Purchased for our summer cruise out of Galveston to the western Caribbean. This fan made time outside in the hot and humid climate not just bearable but sustainable. Took on our excursions and seriously, saved the day! Very powerful fan with 3 speeds. Packs easily into crossbody or backpack pocket(love that the handle folds in for packing), charges quickly! A new packing necessity for me!

It works great!
Perfect personal fan for travel, hot flashes, cooling, etc. I love it! Had it for couple of years and bought new one for a friend. I only have to charge it and it is good to go. It last pretty long if fully charged. Fits in my backpack perfectly. So on the plane it works great. It is comfy and quiet. Just love this little fan.

Fan to beat the Florence, Italy Heat! Get it!
Get this fan! It's a little on the big side but it folds , it has 3 fan speeds(pretty powerful), and lasts a long time. I bought one for both me and my daughter for our trip to Paris and Florence in Mid-July and it was a lifesaver! The heat was brutal in Florence. We climbed the Palazzo Vecchio Bell Tower(no air conditioning) which was 226 steps and we held our fans to our faces :) to survive . The battery is durable and never once died even on our 5 hour day trip to Pisa, Italy where the train had minimal air conditioning. I would recharge it for a little while until the light turned green when we would get back to our hotel but I dont even think it needed to be recharged. It got us through and I highly recommend.

Upstarring my review
🖍Updated review:The exposed wires don’t seem to be an issue. I use this to prevent my iPhone from overheating when I absolutely must use my iPhone while running hot (those racing apps aren’t going to play by themselves). In the time I’ve had this fan, I’ve charged it twice. I don’t keep it on the charger, and yet the battery holds the power without losing strength between charging a. The breeze is very strong. Yes, it has exposed wires, so I would strongly encourage users to use it indoors where it’s dry, and not in the rain. But I am pleasantly surprised by the battery endurance and fan’s strong breeze. And might I also add that I only use it on the lowest setting, which is still very powerful. The other brand I purchased does not compare to this fan in wind velocity or battery life. So I do recommend this fan.🖍 Previous review:Let me point one thing out to prevent confusion that I fell for. The photo of the cord on the first page is not a two-pronged plug. If you zoom in, you will discover that photo is a mini USB plug. I do not believe they were deliberately trying to trick us into believing it was an electrical plug for a standard United States outlet. You will need a charger, since one was not provided.Straight out of the box, the fan works fine. It has three settings, and all three work with the push of the button. This is trivial, but if you only use the first setting, you have to cycle through two higher settings before turning it off. The fan is not very loud on the low setting, but if you are in a quiet place, like a church or funeral, the medium and high settings can be audible when you use them or cycle through the settings to shut the fan off.It seems like this fan was once a AA battery fan that has been reconfigured into a rechargeable fan. There is a battery cover along the length of the handle on the side. The clip of the battery cover has a tiny screw that prevents the user from removing the battery cover without a special odd-shaped tiny screwdriver. What this tells me is they had a bunch of AA battery powered fans laying around, but they couldn’t sell them unless they were rechargeable. So they added rechargeable battery packs, fixed in a tiny screw, and resold them as rechargeable. So I don’t have a lot of faith in the quality of the rechargeable battery system in this fan.I have a few more issues with this fan:When I plugged in the fan, I noticed the mini-USB plug was sticking out a bit far. I don’t know if this is a hazard, but I felt it should be mentioned. USB plugs (or any plug) should fit flush against the item it is charging, without exposure to electrical elements. The fan is charging now as I type, and I notice a faint red light that I assume is the charging light. There’s a hole in the fan that allows me to see the light as I turn the fan at an angle, but they didn’t seem to put much effort in the charging light. Will it turn green when it is fully charged? [EDIT: Yes, the light does turn green when the device is fully charged.]One of the first things I noticed about this fan is the exposed wires in the fold of the handle. I don’t know what would happen if this gets wet. There is also a single frail-appearing wire beside it, that I’m afraid will eventually break. With the constant folding and unfolding of the handle, I’m quite sure some of these exposed wires will fray, rendering the fan useless. The fan is designed to fit on the ribs of an umbrella. I assume the umbrella they meant for this fan was a parasol that protects the user from the sun. I haven’t tried this on an umbrella, because I purchased this fan to cool off my very overheated iPhone. The fan does the job I intended it to do, and does so on the lowest setting, which should theoretically prolong the life of the battery. We’ll see.The fan is provided with a metal “clip” that fits into the handle, but when I attached the clip, I discovered it to be very flimsy. It’s basically a bent piece of wire, which will undoubtedly wind up in my junk drawer that I call a “garbage can waiting room”.The bottom of the handle has a strap-handle hole. I’m sure with the right strap that is long enough to be worn around the neck, the user could bend up the fan toward the face, that should provide hands-free air. But I haven’t tested this theory. No strap was provided with this fan. [EDIT: The fan bends downward, making this idea a dud.]As I mentioned, I purchased this fan for my iPhone. I also bought a smaller fan (from a different company) so I can be charging one fan while using the other. Both fans have three settings and both project the same force of air. I deliberately bought two different fans because I know if I bought two exact fans, one will work better than the other, and I will obsess over the weaker of the two.I will be keeping an eye on this particular fan and keeping you updated on its durability. But I honestly feel like I bought a piece of junk. However, for the purpose I purchased this item, there is no reason for the wires to be exposed to moisture.Do I recommend this fan? The exposed wires are set deep in a crevice, but I can’t help but wonder if a small child could poke his finger in and touch those shiny wires while the device is plugged in, could he suffer a shock? This issue could’ve been prevented, simply by wrapping the wires before inserting them in the device. I may disassemble the fan and attempt to insulate the wires, myself. I can’t prevent my mind from constantly focusing on this one issue.I provided a photo of the exposed wires, simply because there are no other available photos of the back-side of the fan. Even user reviews failed to photograph the back, so I provided that photo - complete with arrows and labels - for you.The yellow arrow points out the exposed wires. The orange arrow points out the very frail wire I mentioned. The white arrow points to the USB plug that does not fit flush with the device.I hope this review gives you some insight to help you decide if this particular item will suit your needs. I am not trying to discourage anyone from buying this item. It does work well for the reason I purchased it. But if you are buying it to use in the sun or an area where no option to recharge the device is provided, a cannot guarantee you will not be stranded in the heat without a cooling device that could prevent possible heat stroke. If you have a medical condition that would require the use of a personal fan, you should pass on this one and spend a bit more money on a more reliable fan. But the price is low enough to take your chances, if comfort is your only purpose for buying a personal fan.

My initial review was not so good. The device essentially failed when I took it on it's first trip (it's intended use). After returning from my trip, I wrote a scathing review on it's failure and on some potential issues this product would have including the hinge that seemed like it would break after repeated uses. Unfortunately, what failed was something with the switch that prevented the device from actually being used. I was unable to switch between the different speeds, and at times, would not even turn on. The company saw my review and immediately sent a replacement. It's been about a year now since I got the replacement and I now have real-world, long-term use on it. Here's my review...This fan has made it through the Spring humidity in Arlington, VA, camping from CA to WY, and numerous trips to Southern CA at Disneyland. It's intended use has exceeded my expectations. My concerns about the so-so build quality, the hinge, and the questionable electronics and battery have subsided. That being said, I still do have concerns about all these things, but after over a year (with reasonable care and transport) this product still has not failed. This is a great product, despite my concerns, as it does what it's intended to do... and does it well.Pros:* Has (3) speeds to choose from (Low, Medium, High).* Pushes a lot of air for it's size at all speed levels.* Compact (enough) to be stored easily.* Can be charged directly with any micro-USB cable.* Included battery is replaceable with any lithium 18650 battery when it eventually fails (average 18650 battery has about 300 full cycles/charges.)* Included battery will last at least a full day of on/off use (I have not tested continuous use time, but using it frequently throughout the day, lasted at least a full day.)* Reasonable on weight and would not be noticed in a bag, backpack, murse (man-purse), fanny pack, or hanging on a lanyard.* Customer service is great. They proactively reached out to me fix my issue. This is how true online services needs to be.Cons: (Note: These cons have not surfaced, therefore no stars were deducted.)* Build quality is questionable. Although, it is reasonable due to this price point.* Hinge longevity. Although I still question the durability of this hinge, after moderate use, I have not seen any issues, but it is still a concern.* Included lithium battery does not have a point/nub/nipple on the (+) side of the battery. Be mindful of reinstallation.* Charging status light can be a bit more obvious.Overall, despite my cons, this product has performed wonderfully. After a year of use, it's held up quite well. The overall performance, build quality, and features make this a quite a value at this price point. With this exceptionally hot weather we've been having the last few season has made considered purchasing more of this product. I would highly recommend this product.
