I guess it worked. Moths crawled out and try to get away from the repellent herbs. It doesn’t kill the moths, it just keep them away. The scent doesn’t last long though.

These are a wonderful alternative to the unpleasant smell of mothballs. They are effective, have a pleasing aroma, and leave behind no lingering unpleasant odor.

Not sure if this is supposed to work on them but this has zero effect on clothes moths. None. For the 2nd year in a row we have a crop of clothes moths that appear. One of our closets is affected more than anywhere else, so I put two of them in the closet (standard closet size). Not only did this have zero effect on the moths, but there was actually one crawling all over one of the pouches. What a waste of money! We put these out before they appeared hoping to not have to wash everything in the closet, but didn't work.
