Great screen for a simple project
I love this thing. Assembly was a breeze with a little bit of soldering skill. Keep in mind I don't solder regularly and it was fairly easy with this screen. At first I missed a contact and no letters would show but I rechecked my solders and fixed a contact and everything was fine. Can't wait to create a project with this thing.

Pins broken and missing components
I ordered two units. One came completely unusable with multiple pins bent and or broken off of the multiplexer. Both were missing the LCD screen. Completely unacceptable.

Perfect addition to the Pi
Great addition to a Pi to run without keyboard / monitor. Still get input / output. Very useful for making a smart appliance out of a Pi by running a Python program as a service in the background. No need to sign on or start up program and you can still interact with it. Using mine as a network tool running Iperf, wireshark, ssh, cdp and telnet. Able to select options from software and see the result. Does not come with a case and I have not found one that fits the Pi with the LCD. Had to fabricate my own. Adafruit says they are developing one. That will make it even more useful.

Fun easy project
Very easy project and fun to setup with my Raspberry Pi. Using with PiMiner to show stats for my bitcoin mining project.

Missing LCD
Shipped without LCD screen, useless.

Saudering experience required
You can find instructions to put this thing together very easily online, and it will require assembly. If you're not interested in doing the work, look for a pre-assembled version :). This thing is awesome!!!

Missing parts
Parts arrived in good condition, however, the buttons pictured were not included. Now I need to source the buttons separately .
