Essentials of Stochastic Processes (Springer Texts in Statistics)

Required book for a course

The book was written elegantly, and I have no negative comments. However, the biggest complaint to the book is for the publisher. Can you increase its font size to a larger one? It hurts my eyesight by spending hours in reading the excellent book! It will not reduce your profit by doing it since you can adjust the price and the demand is almost inelastic. It will definitely make the reader more comfortable if you do so in the fourth edition!

I usually don't leave any reviews for the product I purchase from Amazon. One reason is most of the time I'm totally satisfied with products I purchase. Even if the item is a little bit damaged I usually don't care too much.But for this book, this is the exceptional one and I decided to leave the review for the future customer. The contents of the book is OKAY, but it has a way toooooo many typos in the book. I can't believe this book still has this many typos in its third edition, and wonder if the author "Richard Durrett" ever read his own textbooks. Probably not. I'm 100% sure about this. I wasted a way too much time trying to understand the wrong text, wrong equations, wrong notations...please do not purchase this book and just download ebook or something. not worth to spend a single cent for this book.
