Ideal for going to South Africa
South Africa has many different plug styles. These adapters were more than adequate for what we encountered. We often plugged in another adapter into these that had USB ports for charging our phones.

Perfect
I purchased these for my trip to Johannesburg South Africa. I was not sure how these devices would work, but I found out once I arrive in Johannesburg as their outlets were totally different than American electrical outlets.

These don't turn 220 into 110 electric or have a outlets for American plugs like hair dryers have . These are not transformers.
