Excellent quality
They work great and are easy to set up. The size and look are pretty discrete. My dogs can hear me and understand me perfectly when I speak to them through the camera. The video quality is great. I haven't noticed any lagging.

Good product, price and quick delivery
It is great! It took a little time to get connected, downloading the APO, getting the SD card, etc. But it is really a good little camera!

Good option for basic home surveillance
I was searching for some home security cameras that didnât require a monthly subscription to use. I bought a two pack of these cameras - one to place in our living area to monitor when the babysitter is watching our daughter, and the other for our front porch. The cameras are fairly easy to set up using the mobile app and the controls within the app are easy to figure out. Camera picture is clear, audio could be better but I also have one set up close to the tv so Iâm sure that affects it. I did buy separate micro SD cards to be able to save and playback, but havenât gotten the cards formatted yet so canât yet speak to the playback features. The app can take a long time (30+ seconds) to connect to the live stream when Iâm not at home on the same WiFi network as the cameras, which defeats the purpose a little bit if Iâm needing to check in on things due to a motion alert from the cameras, hence why I like the ability for playback using the micro SD cards. The app also has âsmart detectionâ to tell you if it senses a pet, person, or other motion, however, it isnât that âsmartâ because it often says a pet is detected in the living room (we donât have pets inside) and a person is detected on the front porch, when nothing is out there.Overall, for the first security cameras Iâve ever bought, they seem to function as intended and are user friendly. Worth the money for what you get if youâre wanting an affordable home surveillance option.

Great for checking on my dogs
I have three of these to watch my dogs while Iâm at work and they do well! No complaints! I can hear them well if theyâre barking and the picture is usually pretty clear.

Most features do not work!
I have three cameras, the two in this review plus an exterior fixed position camera, also by Reolink. Of the two cameras being reviewed here, one is connected wirelessly and the other is a hard wired connection. You'd think the wired connection would be 100% reliable but it doesn't perform any better than the wireless unit. Both are worthless as security cameras. They might be ok for monitoring pets but even then connectivity is hit and miss. If you're using them to monitor babies or the elderly I would look for something more reliable. Keep in mind I'm a software engineer and work with electronics every day.Connectivity performance: HorribleThe Details:1) I have a wifi watering system (Rachio) that works very well and is mounted outside where the wifi coverage is much worse. However, it has better connectivity than both of these cameras.2) I have a Google Home sitting next to one of these cameras and it always has a wifi connection. This should eliminate my home wifi as a source of the bad connectivity.3) Sitting 5 feet away from the Google Home and one of the cameras is my wifi router. This does eliminate my wifi as a source of the connectivity issues.4) One of the cameras is wired directly to my home network along with a Linux computer and a laptop connected to the same network switch. This camera performs no better than the wifi camera!!!!Remote Control: Sporadic at bestThe Details:1) The alarm function works if and when you can connect to the camera.2) The "Push-to-talk" function never works, period.3) Remote positioning of the camera will drive you crazy because when you can connect to the camera it only works about 30% of the time and all movement is delayed by about 5 seconds. This means that you have to make small movement adjustments and then wait for 5-10 seconds to see if the camera actually moves. If you make large adjustments either the camera doesn't move or you're likely to overshoot the position you want. Also, there is no indication when you've reached the limit of movement.4) Saving and naming camera positions works about 70% of the time (again, if and when you can connect to the camera). This is the best feature to use rather than trying to remotely position the camera at will. Create and name the best positions and then use the pre-programmed positions to move the camera. This is useful when the camera is mounted in a room but the camera field of view does not cover the entire room. You can then save multiple named positions and then recall them.Setting Presets: Good luckMost of the settings could not be changed or required repeated attempts. Camera settings - none of them could be changed. Email notification scheduling - yes. Push notifications - nope. Motion detection - nope.Remote Video Monitoring:Image quality - Outstanding (when you can connect). Both day and night image quality is good.In Summary, the cameras just don't work well as security cameras if you wish to hear audio or speak through the camera, remotely control the camera position, or reliably use many of the remote control features. If you just want to remotely monitor video then they work ok for that.

Inexpensive OK camera, no on/off control or way to delete video
First the good. I got this on sale for cheap. So, given that price, I can't complain much. The camera works. It was relatively easy to set up. The quality of the image is good enough. The night vision is passable. The WiFi is ok, though, it does seem to get very slow at times. Its also nice that no subscription fees are required (as with a number of other cameras). Now, the bad. And, there is quite a bit of it.First, there is no way to turn off the camera. For an indoor camera, where occasional privacy is an expected requirement, this a deal breaker. Ultimately, I tossed the camera on a smart plug. To me, this was an unacceptable extra cost.Next, there is no way to delete SOME of the video. Your only option is to reformat the storage (which deletes ALL of the video). This is especially galling since the videos are broken up into segments (5 minutes each if I recall). Would it really be that hard to add a "delete segment" feature? The quality of the software is mixed. On the desktop, using a Windows PC, its not too bad. However, scrubbing through video, to find a scene, is unnecessarily cumbersome. The motion detection is fairly good, and helps in this regard, but it has a few too many false negatives to be entirely reliable. And, as mentioned, basic features like turning on and off the camera and deleting video segments are entirely missing. On my phone (Android), the software is borderline unusable. Take everything that is passable on the desktop version, remove it all, and then you have the mobile version. Its ok for monitoring live video and not much else.
