Easy to get started learning chess.
I have this item to my Grandchildren since they had expressed wanting to learn to play chess. This electronic chessboard speaks to you, prompts if needed. An excellent teaching device!

It cheats and does not recognize valid moves.
I bought this for my 10 year old to help him train for tournaments. I'm no grandmaster, but I recognize the benefit of queen trades. This machine will forbid the trade ultimately stopping the match. Every time it will tell, not suggest, you to take a pawn (with no other benefit) over a queen. If it set up a larger attack then fine, but to take a pawn with a crystal established with a queen is a losing move. It won't even let you skip the warning. It just tells you that you can't move unless you do what it wants you to do. That's cheating.

Fun to use
If you want to learn Chess, this is a great buy. It is all electronic and tells you not only how to move but also if a move is illegal. You also have more games that can be played of this set. It's great for young and old alike.

What I liked about the TOP 1 Computer Chess Set, is easy to use and very easy to set up great for beginners and professional players, and has a bot that told you if you made a mistake. it’s a good value for your money and it makes a good gift for all ages and occasions. Overall, the chess board is very nice for learners and for enjoyment.
