Amazon Basics Handleset with Shelby Lever - Single Cylinder - Matte Black

Why buy an expensive door lock handleset when you can buy Amazon basics. This product was better than I expected. The pictures above are from when I first installed it. It was very easy to install minus it didn’t line up with my other door set holes. After a few new pre drilled holes door set went on and looks great. Works perfectly. It is built sturdy and can hopefully last for years.

I bought this for the handle only so I can't review the interior door knob or key parts. My builder installed a brass schlage handle with a satin nickel keypad. Who does that? Lol. It looked stupid and it drove me nuts so I replaced it with this.It is just as sturdy as the schlage, and it was easy to install. I used the same holes that were already drilled in my door, as well as the mechanisms. I made sure I measured my old handle prior to purchasing this one. They are both 12 inches so I figured it would work, and it does with only a slight difference. I can't seem to get the top part of the handle to be flush with my door but that could be because of my using the old mechanisms, or maybe the holes are slightly off. Either way, I'll have the hubby look at it to see if he can finagle it a little better. My guess is that it's because I'm using the old mechanisms. Other than that, I think it looks and feels great. Very happy with this purchase and well worth the money. HD and Lowes had them for $100. Ridiculous!!!

This set looks elegant, sturdy, well made, the right color. Despite all this, I had to return this. The length of the front vertical handle is little short than what I had on there initially. I have a black door and the difference in length will show the slight discoloration due to sun exposure.

Got this set for my new white door. Looks so elegant and love the matt black. Good quality and so easy to install. Definitely recommend.

Just as described, easy to install, came with all necessary parts! Performs just as it should, improved the look of our front door!

Ordered this because I liked the color. Template was off JUST A LITTLE, ABOUT 2 Inches. GOOD GRIEF! RUINED my solid wood door by drilling the hole to the templates directions. Then, the screws did not screw, wrong threads. Had to go thru my stash of screws to find screws that were right. OH MY GOSH! To late to return and get my money back. Husband got really sick after I ordered it, then he passed, then my daughter came home to help me and she had to install the door handle for me. She is so frustrated she is ready to kick the persons butt that inserted the wrong template and wrong parts.

We purchased this in matte black with the lever interior handle, and it was placed on a brand new front door. It looks beautiful from the exterior, and works well when opening. The problem came about a year after purchase when the level handle inside broke off. The metal on the bottom of the handle by the pin that holds it together is so thin that with multiple uses during the day its too weak to hold up, so it breaks. So frustrating, as now we need to buy a whole new lower handle section. Overall it's alright, but it isn't a long term good buy.
