3'x5' Durahold Plus(TM) Felt and Rubber Non Slip Rug Pad for Hard Floors

This pad is substancially built (thick) and has gripping strength but doesn't hold as well as the thinner pads. It is designed for thin rugs only and will be add additional softness but I bought a thick rug that didn't need the thickness of the pad as well. As a result it wouldn't allow the door to close and because the rug was so thick as well the pad slid slightly.

First, I'll say I love the pad. We have Saltillo tile floors, which are a little uneven and have a delicate finish on them, and some soft mats (I've read) leave marks on the floors which must be sanded down and refinished. This pad is rubber on the bottom, which keeps it from slipping. Also, the top of the pad nicely covers and holds my Southwest rugs down. It acts like tiny sticky grippers, and has a bit of a nubby texture on it - great for gripping the rug. It is also a nice thickness. You can feel the pad, but you don't feel like you're walking on a mattress. I plan on getting more for all my other Southwest rugs.What I'm mad about is that it claims to "custom cut" the rug, if you put the size you need it cut down to in the gift options space during checkout. NOPE! It came full size, and I'll have to get a utility knife and do it myself. So, yes, it's a great rug, but don't expect the custom cut job; they LIE!!!

Purchased this as it seemed to be the best product. I purchase two of them to keep my 3x5 bedside and kitchen rugs in place. We don't walk on the bedroom rug much but at least once a week I have to pull it out from under the bed and back into place. It moves about three inches sitting on a Pergo laminate floor. In the kitchen it seems like I have to move it every other day, if not every day. The rug there starts bunching up by the toe kick. Again, I'm talking it moves about three inches during the course of the day but it's just the two of us, no kids, no pets and we work all day - it still moves 3 inches a day while sitting on an engineered wood floor. So very disappointed with this product. Previously we must have used a similar product from a different manufacturer but the name was no longer there or too dry rotted to read. Whatever that one was worked better than this one.

The product successful keeps the throw rug in place 90% of the time allowing a 2.5" edge improves the maintenance of the rug in its proper place.

My rug still moves around but not that much. Its not that it slides on the floor but the rug to the pad.

Not a great carpet pad-not thick enough to be cushy, nor gripping enough to hold carpet on top nor keep from sliding around. Has to be repositioned several times a day. Very disappointing.

After having tried double sided adhesive tape to keep my rug in place it only took a short time, like right away, to determine the tape would not work.I spent at least three hours scouring the internet, reading reviews and making my decision to purchase the Durahold Plus Pad. I was a little nervous about the pad being trimmed to suit my 3' X 5' rug, I thought it would be noticeable but it was/is not. I have had the pad down for several months and I am very happy. You know, when Mama is happy, everyone in the house is happy!

Worked well for me and holds the rug nicely. Well padded and soft to walk on.
