2'x8' Durahold Plus(TM) Felt and Rubber Non Slip Runner Rug Pad for Hard Floors

Pad Liquidators sent a new 5x8 Durahold Plus rug pad and the price was excellent, and the shipping was fast. The pad has felt on one side and rubber on the other. NO CHEMICAL SMELL! Hooray!! The only problem I had was the felt would stick too well to the rug, so adjusting it was a BEAR, especially as I was doing this alone. I finally figured it out.(NOTE: Be careful not to rub up against the felt side. I accidentally rubbed the top of my forearm hard against the felt and ended up with an abrasion that bled.)1) Turn the rug over and gaffer-tape it to the floor (I did 4 corners and the middles of the long edges.) As you tape it down, STRETCH the rug out and then apply the tape. My rug had been stored on end and was compressed.2) Put the rug pad on the rug with the rubber down. Adjust & center it to get a sense of how much room you need to have on each edge.3) Turn the pad over so the rubber is up. Roll it up as well as you can. Then line it up with one short end of the rug, and unroll it, removing the gaffer tape from the rug, and making sure that it's relatively parallel to one of the long edges of the rug. With a bit of work, you can get it to unroll onto the rug so it's centered edge-to-edge. Walk all over the pad and rug to make sure it's sticking as well as possible.4) Turn the whole affair over and put it where you want.The rug pad was just a touch smaller than 5x8--the perfect size. It is thick, soft, and insulating. It's very comfortable to walk on. The rug does not slip at all. I liked it so much I ordered another one today.

This rug pad exceeded expectations. I am very sensitive to odors, and this pad has absolutely no smell. It is placed on a hardware floor (which is why we were drawn to the natural rubber back), and it adheres very well. On top is a new, but quite inexpensive rug (cats - you can't have nice things!), and the rug pad makes a world of difference in terms of cushiness and keeping the rug in place. The pattern on top of the pad really does a great job of gripping the rug. It is keeping the light weight 11'3"x8'3" rug we have in place. Overall, very pleased with this product.

We bought a new, rather expensive, rug for our living room and wanted a good quality pad. This fit the bill nicely.

It does just what it says. Busy household with kids and dog. Bought a crazy long cotton/jute runner for the kitchen. 16 feet x 3 feet. The runner was a pretzel by the end of the first day. Slipping and sliding all over the place. I thought buying the runner so didn't have to constantly polish the floors was a dumb purchase. This runner pad was expensive but its cheap at twice the price because it works so well. (Used 3, 3 x 5 pads) Forget those pathetic little plastic mesh things that instantly curl into a ball under your rug. This non-slip pad really works. Bottom of the pad sticks to the floor. Top of the pad sticks to the carpet. Nothing moves, saving my floors and making life much easier for me. I don't have to polish the floors all the time because they're protected by the runner that now stays put. Usually don't write reviews but had to report that this is a really great product. I guess that's why it costs a little more, and is well worth the extra money.

I bought Durahold pad for under a long hand-woven runner I have between my kitchen and living area. The pad I used to use never really worked, so my dog would run through and the rug would be in a heap. This pad not only grips the floor, but it grips the rug! Works so well! No more bending over to straighten the rug multiple times a day!

I have been through many types of carpet pads. I have 2 large dogs and 2 large cats that like to run through the house causing area rugs to move about. This pad holds the rug in place. I actually do not need to use carpet tape with this pad. That is a first for me! I have purchased 3 so far and plan on buying a few more for my vacation home.

This is a great product, very soft underfoot and definitely won’t budge on your floors. It’s more expensive than comparable pads, but worth it if you have nice rugs. The seller mailed the item promptly and it arrived in good condition and as described.
