My ancient old kitchen scales finally gave up the ghost and with Christmas around the corner and hordes of cooking left to do I had to find a replacement, and fast. I am a prime member so was impressed that they were available on next day delivery considering their already very reasonable price.Having used them, I can honestly say that the HAMSWAN Electronic kitchen scales are amazing and necessity for every kitchen! It has a large display, is accurate, consistent and easy to use and clean.The sleek, lightweight design makes it attractive, and its glass surface is hygienic and easy to clean.The scales weigh food in grams, kilograms, ounces, pounds and pounds/ounces – all the units of measurement most cooks need. However, one thing I miss are millilitres and fluid ounces. If you often use those measurements when you cook, a different model may be better.This kitchen scale can weigh foods as light as 1 gram and as heavy as 5 kilograms. It also has a useful tare button that zeros out the weight of the container you’re measuring ingredients in so you get an accurate readout. This can make quite a difference, especially if you prefer to weigh ingredients for baking.Its sleek minimalist design and glass finish makes it look stylish, and the display shows large, easy-to-read numbers. The two completely flat touch controls sit beneath the tempered glass platform. Its power button also serves as the tare button, and the unit button lets you set the unit of measurement.Because the entire surface is covered with tempered glass, the scale is easy to clean, which goes a long in avoiding food poisoning.

The Hanswan electronic cooking food scale is a slim lightweight digital kitchen scale.The scale comes in a card box protected in a card board sleeve and an instruction leaflet. The scale includes a CR2032 cell battery and you just need to pull the tab at the back to get started with the scale. The scale has an auto shut off feature and turns off after 1 minute of nothing being on the scale.The front of the scale is all glass which is very easy to wipe clean and looks very modern and will fit well with almost any kitchen. The touch buttons are large and very responsive to use. Changing the units or resetting the reading to 0 is simple to do. The LCD readout is a bit on the small side and if you try to measure something in a large bowl or plate the reading can get covered and it does require you to take a look from under the bowl. The scale provided reliable and accurate measurements when we used it. The back is plastic with a cover for the battery and 4 legs which are rubber tipped and provide excellent grip on the kitchen counter or table. One overlooked feature which would of made this even better would have been a notch in the back to allow the scale to be hung on a wall or side of a cabinet.Please note: I received this product for free for a non biased and honest review.

Scales arrived nicely packed in a cardboard box. I was surprised at how small it is! Lovely slim glass unit, fits neatly into my kitchen drawer, which is great. The scales worked very well - use whatever mixing bowl or saucepan you are measuring into, and pop it onto the scales, then switch on. It gives nice steady readings, no flickering of figures like my old set. It was very easy to change the units of measurement (kg, g, lb). The unit of measurement on the screen is however really small - I have to look very closely to see what it says. The reason I took away one star is because of how the scales look - the branding is FAR too big and intrusive, and ruins the appearance, making it look a bit cheap! If the branding was more subtle it would look much more classy.

The scales are pretty easy to use, but the one thing that lets it down is the small and dim display, especially the unit display. As my rubbish photo shows, you can barely read if it's in g, kg, oz or lbs, but luckily the scales seem to remember the last unit setting used, when you power it back on, so ours is left on g.Also the touch buttons are quite close together so with my ham hands it makes selecting Tare instead of Off a bit tricky.Apart from that it's good, especially for the price, and seems to be accurate from what I can see.

Our expensive UK branded scales gave up, so I thought we would try these at a fraction of the price. I am delighted with them.They arrived very quickly, and were well packaged. The increments are much smoother as I add more ingredients than I am used to. It feels robust. Great product, great quality.

I just bought this for my diabetic friend as a last minute Christmas present. He has needed scales for quite a while now but just never got around to buying any. These scales will now allow him to be able to eat cereal as he can now accurately measure it. Pretty good price for the size, would recommend if you know a diabetic who lacks scales.

Modern, stylish and accurate are the words I would use to describe these scales. They are so thin and sleek and do not look out of place in my kitchen. They are simple and easy to use, but most importantly they are accurate. Very happy with this purchase.

Easy to use, the display screen is large enough and clear, design simple and clean.Decided on that model as I can us it in the kitchen and to weight my parcels, as holds up to 15kg.Comes with battery so you are set to go.
