Surface Book 3/2/1 Case Cover 13.5 Inch, Detachable Protective Folio Case Cover for 13" Microsoft Surface Book (13.5" Surface Book 3/2/1,Coffee)

I bought this cover to give more protection for my Surface Book 2 on a flight and stay in NYC. I've always kept my laptop in its bag or on a desk or table when in use, but I've always been afraid of damage. I use it for my work and the detachable screen is handed to my clients for signatures on forms. It's quite fragile really, and slick with no way to easily grip it. I've discovered that this cover is the answer to all of those concerns. It looks great on the laptop, disguises it as a portfolio pad when it's being carried, offers excellent protection especially for the detachable screen when it's removed, and is comfortable for use, typing, etc. The pen still sticks to the side of the screen, and all the access points are still accessible. It's actually easier to plug in the USB's because they aren't right down there at desk level - that little rise makes it easier to plug them in. If you've been using a Surface Book which is very thin, then you know what I'm talking about. Even so, that little bit of extra thickness of the cover doesn't take away from the thin advantage of the Surface Book. The final thing I'll call attention to (there are more but this review is already getting long) is that the cover cushions the corners of the screen and gives it more support when the laptop is closed. I've always considered this the Surface Book's greatest weak spot, and my new cover solves it. On a related note, opening the laptop is much easier due to the little bit of separation the cover provides between the strong magnets. The laptop still remains firmly closed but can be opened with one hand without putting undue stress on the screen. I am completely satisfied with the quality and functionality of this cover and I can say that it makes my Surface Book 2 a joy to use anywhere, not just on a desk. In case you're wondering I bought and paid full price for it, and nobody offered me anything in return for a review.

I had a low model surface book which I had no problems with which i had for about a year and a half then one day I found it in my bag with the screen shattered. I was distraught but decided to invest in a higher end surface book because it is such a brilliant laptop. I wanted to be able to protect it and this case seemed the perfect option. When it arrived it was in a yellow paper bag which I wasn't too pleased about and it was warped and bent. I considered returning it and complaining but decided to give it a chance. After some bending back in position I put my laptop in and now I can not see the original bends. When the case is on it adds quite a bit of bulk and weight to the laptop which is unfortunate but once is it in a laptop case you don't notice that. The flap and elastic band are quite nice and no durability problems with the elastic band so far and the flap is quite nice in my wrists/ hands when typing. The stylus holder isn't positioned very well and it requires a bit of maneuvering to get it in but it is what it is. The surface book is a hot laptop and other than when I fully loaded the laptop, I have never had to take the case off due to thermal problems. Overall this case looks great, feels great and is really decent for what is, highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  first off let me say that this is the second time I'm writing this because amazon decided to delete my text while I tried to add a photo, and also, this is a good case. If you want the basic jist of this review then it's a solid protective case that adds some bulk and has a few flaws that may not affect everyone. ,The problems I have with it are listed below but otherwise everything about this case is smooth and awesome.1. The flap. Honestly this is just irritating. There's no way to secure it without getting it more in the way. I move from room to room/ desk-to-desk while working and picking up and moving or working on my lap is really frustrating when this dumb flap is sticking out. You can use the elastic to hold it in place but if you look at the photo you'll see why that's really not a great option. If it had a magnet inside or wasn't quite so stiff then maybe it would be more comfortable/easier to ignore.2. bulk. I really didn't expect this to be an issue. My laptop barely fits in any of my backpack laptop compartment with this case on. On it's own the surfacebook fits just fine with room to spare but not enough room for this case. It's a chore to shove it in my bag and yank it out to get to work. When I get back to campus this will be a bit of a struggle.3. the base case. This is the number one issue, the primary reason I would return this case and am still strongly considering doing so. When you work in "backwards mode", maybe it has a legit name I'm not sure, your case is completely unsecured. I've attached a video to show just what happens while I'm editing photos and videos which I primarily do in this setup. Case and keyboard separate completely from a regular amount of sliding over time - say 5 minutes or so before I have to put the whole bottom piece back on- I've moved it quite a lot in this video just to keep it short but this is a real problem. I so wish that the case could magnetize to my actual device as well as to itself and just stay where I've put it until I intentionally remove it.My FAVORITE part of this case is the tablet part. It detaches so easily and the magnetic edge just flips right over the side and secures the tablet snugly. It's fantastic as a tablet case. The bottom half needs work.Also cool thing I discovered today, You can remove the top with your pen still magnetized to the left side of your screen. Neat! Pen loop being on the bottom isn't a problem imo because this case doesn't interfere with your pens ability to attach to the top at all, as mentioned above LOL. Doesn't block the cameras, looks snazzy and professional, keeps it safe, doesn't alter or muffle sound at all. It's good, needs some tweaking.

This is an excellent product. I highly recommend for the Microsoft Surface Book 3.

Amazing case. I looked all over Amazon to find a case for my surface book 3 15 inch, but I could not find anything good anywhere. Even the Microsoft store was disappointing. When I bought this case I was apprehensive but it was professionally packed and it fit my computer beautifully. I ordered the blue colour and it looks great. I especially needed a case that has a kickstand so that I could use my laptop in tablet mode. The kickstand on this case is great and exactly what I needed. There is a flap at the bottom which protects the laptop from getting any scratches. I had this shipped to B.C Canada and it did not take too long. I have had the case for 3 months now and it has been great. No problems at all. I would definitely recommend it!

Excellent quality good stitching leaves all ports available unlike other covers and able to detach screen and let stand alone highly recommended 👍👍👍

The case is exactly as described. It's great and I love that it provides the option to detach. I wish there were more colours to select from but overall, I'm really happy with how it fits. The power button is a little tricky to reach but everything else is okay.

looks great, fits great, so nifty. love that the top detaches with the screen. pen holder is on the wrong side but actually dont really need it as pen still sticks to the outside case. brilliant design.

Absolutely excellent - designed perfectly for the Surface Book 2. Spot-on fit which maintains access to all buttons and ports. Super smart design allows you to detach the covered screen from the covered base - makes it easier to hold (and not drop) the standalone screen. Quite rugged protection, feels substantial in your hand. A great option if you want to carry around and quickly open/close your Surface Book without needing to remove it from a laptop sleeve or bag. Kudos to the designers and manufacturers.
