Heath 298364 Bucket Seed Feeder, Purple

I love the concept but the plastic perches break off very easily. I love it so much I hot glue gunned them back on. I hope they can improve the sturdiness of this product. I get tons of birds that love it too. I need spare perches.

I've tried glue and now I used paper clips to replace the cheap perches this bucket has!

do not buy product, plus there is zero contact information on Amazon for vendor, that should tell the whole story

I was hesitant on buying this feeder after reading the 2 reviews. The other 2 reviews wrote about perches breaking off and that the perches were plastic. They are plastic but a heavy duty plastic. The perches will move up or down. I put gorilla glue on each of the 12 perches to stop them from moving and left it to dry overnight. Worked perfectly. After 2 month's perches are intact. I wanted a feeder for the winter months and this fits the bill. I like it because only the smaller birds can feed and bigger birds cannot land on the perches. Took a little while for the birds to get use the feeder. Went on vacation after filling the feeder to the top and when I came back the seed on the inside of the upper 6 perches was gone but still had seed on the inside of the bucket of the lower 6 perches. I know it was raining here while I was gone but the remaining seed inside was still dry. Another good point about the feeder is that since the feeder is metal the squirrels have a hard timeaccessing the seed on the perches and feed ports. It also easy to fill without seed falling out of the seed ports. I am very pleased with this unique bird feeder.unique bird feeder.

I was so excited to buy this. I've never seen a bird feeder like this. Who designs these things??? They made the body of this metal but the perches are cheap delicate pieces of plastic. I got this brand new and 2 of the perches are already cracked before the birds even got a chance to use it. I really hate when companies make things so cheap and then dont test their products. The perches are literally so weak and cheap that u can snap one off with ease. Was it that hard to make metal perches?? This wont last at all. I'm returning it :(

This is junk, mine came with chips already on the lid, it hung out less than 3 days and was already rusting on the lid, I am returning Pronto.... Why can't they use a metal that won't rust or paint chip off, a good plastic would be Ok with me, as long as it is water proof.
