I had previously purchased some 16-gauge "waterproof" connectors here that were made in China. After only a few months, water got inside, the internal pins corroded and snapped off. The pins were so thin, I doubt they were even up to 16-gauge spec.These superior Delphi Weather Pack connectors are the same brand that GM uses in new cars. You'll need two tools.1. And this tool for releasing the pins if you need to move around the wires or make repairs:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GTQW4Q3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_q-2MEbZ9E9E32Alternatively, you could purchase the GM tool which makes both crimps at once but it's very expensive. The tool that I used above lets you crimp the wire first and then crimp the rubber boot separately.Follow online videos for how to assemble with boot and crimp. These connectors depend on proper assembly to ensure they are waterproof. I also tinned the ends of my wires with solder to ensure a cleaner connection with less corrosion in the future.Typically, the male pins go inside the "shroud" end of the connector, and the female pins go inside of the "tower" end. However, you are allowed to swap this configuration or mix/match.

Great product and easy to use provided you have the correct crimping pliers.

it was very difficult to assemble with the recommended Delphi packard weatherpack crimper tool kit, I gave up and used heat shrink solder connectors instead.

Product was fine...shipping arrived 4 days late...missing the deadline for the project to be completed.
