Explore through haunting music and photography, Canada's most eastern Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Stand at the edge of Cape Spear, North America's most eastern point and view the seascape and austere beauty of Newfoundland's rugged coastline. Travel to outports, where small communities perched on wind-swept landscapes are weathered by storms and the march of time. Explore the remote inland beauty of Labrador's lakes and black spruce forests and travel north to the ancient Torngat mountains and iceberg-rimmed coast. These visual adventures are enhanced by the broad musical talents of photographer and composer Richard Olsenius who interprets his travels for the National Geographic Magazine stories and books he has produced over the last 25 years through music and video pieces. Finally there is a music video for the rest of us. This is edited and scored by the photographer and musician who actually travels that land and creates a visual poem built on his experiences. This collection from Newfoundland and Labrador is perfect for the new home theater experience that millions have now perfected in their homes. This is a keepsake for all time. This DVD also contains a gallery show, which highlights many of Olsenius' photography in gallery form where viewers can visualize how some of their favorite photographs might appear on the wall.

Beautiful, Peaceful, Relaxing
My husband and I have been watching it in bed this week with our Kindle Fire. Love it--wish there were more like it to rent on Amazon Instant Video! My ancestors are from Newfoundland, and one day I hope to visit this magical place.
