Must have for 2019-2021 Tundras
I use this on my 2020 Tundra, I added a transmission cooler and wanted to make sure my temps are low. The unit connects quickly and performs flawlessly offering very detailed sensor readouts that I needed .Transmission fluidTemp, Trannsmission pan temp, oil temp, coolant temp and literally hundreds to choose from. You design the dashboard and put the gauges in the spot you want on your phone or stereo if it has that capability. On the Tundras 2019-2021 Toyota didn’t continue adding transmission coolers, so if you have a transmission warning light appear on your stock dash, the trans temp is already at 302 degrees. Heat breaks down fluids and will cause premature clutch plate wear. Smart to add a transmission cooler if you plan on towing or driving in mountainous terrain, may not have problems if you don’t, but if you do it’s now a 7,000 dollar problem, this OBD reader monitors in real time and will save you money and alert you to issues before it’s too late.

Worth it !!!!
10/10. Love that I can change DRL lights from high beam to turn signal lights. Looks awesome. Plus I can lower the voltage. Also awesome. The App itself (AlfaObd) costed me $52. The one I chose for changing DRL lights. Connects really fast. Good quality. Has its nice little case where the obd2 kept in. Reads even the codes for BCM. You can change literally so many things. But I recommend first to upload a backup file to Google drive if you want to do something with it. Eazy to mess your car up. Also, when you change stuff, you don't have to wait at all. You can change for example the voltage of high beam live. You don't have to turn it off or do anything. If something is weird. Just turn it off and start the car again. I was doing changes right when the car engine was running. Only one issue so far when driver side led didn't light up at all when I was changing its voltage. I thought I killed it but no, it was just an internal error so restarted the car and the led worked again. Watch some videos before using the App. But if you come across the guy who says you have to wait for 5 minutes.. no you don't. Like I said I was changing stuff live, so I could monitor love what I am doing. Originally I bought it bc I have a van that has high beam daylight running lights. It was fine with halogen bulbs. But once I swapped to LED it was just blasting them like I had them on, blinding other drivers in the front of me. And when I turn them on it didn't seem to make any difference because it was almost full power applied. Sometimes I got some drivers blink at me lol. I was thinking to change it physically to rewire stuff. But decided to go easier way. Get it now !! It's a game changer.

Buy this one, stop looking! I bought an $80 OBD reader that ended up costing me $305
Buy this one, don’t spend hours searching to save a few bucks. The MX+ includes software add-ons vehicle specific that are normally $15 more for the cheaper models. I’ve bought $80 readers that don’t recognize manufacturers specific codes. For example, I have a 2015 Ram 1500 ecodiesel. All brake, traction and ABS lights came on. Other scanners indicated no codes. Went to dealer, spent $225 for them to tell me the ABS module is fried (common issue- FCA refuses recall). Dealer tells me the part wait list is 29 months (found out no longer made). So, $80 plus $225 out the door for nothing. Plugged in the MX+, it immediately offers me the FCA update for free. Updated with FCA add on. MX+ runs checks, immediately detects the ABS module failure. Provides me additional codes from failed ABS module dealer did not tell me about. So I wasted $305 by buying a cheaper code reader. Also had success checking my 2012 Hyundai Sonata. MX+ also included an add-on specific for Hyundai specific codes. Only minor issue I had was I had to factory reboot the MX+ after each vehicle specific software update. You simply hold the pair button down 15 seconds until green light flashes rapidly, then it re-pairs and works great. It simply has to reload the added vehicle specific software.

Great adapter for the money!
I was skeptical at first about using a wireless connection to scan or modify any codes, programming or tuning on a vehicle, but the one app I needed for my Jeep was only available as a wireless connection app somi purchased this little device and to my surprise it works amazingly well. I've had no issues and certainly have no complaints about it. Highly recommend this product.
