Ruco V336 Easy Radiator Airer

Pros:+ A solid, well-designed product.+ Works with modern radiators which have a grill on top. In fact, it actually attaches to the grill :-)+ Made of tough plastic and aluminium, so it won't rust.+ Fully adjustable from 60cm upwards, though with a hacksaw you could easily shorten it to less than 60cm.Cons:- The screws which attach it to the radiator's top grill are plastic, needed a lot of force to turn and flexed alarmingly. But they didn't break, and even if they did you could easily replace them with metal ones.

Second one of these I bought. Easily fitted and very sturdy.

We have managed to fit this to the radiator in the spare room so that guests can hang their towels on it, but it isn't a rip roaring success. My husband had to improvise as on one side the fittings just broke.

A good idea in theory, with an extending rod, but it fits into two plastic sockets which are fitted to the radiator - this is accomplished fairly easily. However, these sockets and mounting plates are too flexible, which results in the rod falling out. There needs to be some way of clamping the rod in the sockets, but even that wouldn't work because the rod consists of two tubes, one sliding inside the other to allow the length to be changed. It looks ok, but just don't touch it, or hang a towel on it! VERY disappointing, and not what one expects from a German manufacturer. I will be returning it for a refund.

Just what I needed. This radiator rail was supplied in kit form. The width of the rail was longer than required but it was an easy job to cut down to the required length & then to assemble. The kit was supplied with 2 bracket options for attaching to the radiator but the one I chose was a screw clamp fitted through the top grill of a modern, slim double radiator.The rail was rigid once attached to the grill & more than suitable for hanging hand towels, etc.

Was a bit fiddly to assemble but very pleased with this. We bought it for our spare bedroom so guests can hang their towels to dry. Other airers had too many rails or wouldn't fit on modern radiators. This is very sturdy once assembled, and is secured to the radiator (can easily be removed though) so it doesn't fall off like other airers when you are taking things off it. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the fixings on the top of the airer where it attaches to the radiator are a bit chunky but they are fantastic at keeping it in place.
