Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts - 40 oz. container - Value pack

First, these are the DELUXE MIXED NUTS. That means NO PEANUTS. Another reviewer seemed to think 48% were peanuts. Second, this unit ships free using Amazon Prime. Another reviewer seemed to think the "Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts made with Pure Sea Salt, 2 pound .5 oz Tubs (Pack of 2)" was a better choice, but after you factor in the shipping, they are just over 5 cents an ounce more expensive.Having dealt with the misinformation, Planters just taste better than the rest. I've had Kirkland and the generics, and occasionally (not too often) I get a nut that tastes rancid. Never had that problem with Planters. The cashews are my favorite, generally plump and so delicious looking that it's hard to not have a couple of handfuls and spoil my dinner. I personally don't care if it's sea salt or regular, but the salt in these is just right, enhancing the flavor instead of hiding it. If you put these out at a party, not only will your guests appreciate the quality, but you won't have a bowl of picked over peanuts left when the party is over. You can't go wrong with Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts, unless of course you pig out - there are a lot of calories in a handful of nuts.

I have always loved Planters Mixed Nuts but I prefer the ones with the regular salt and not the sea salt. Although I did order the ones with the regular salt, I got the ones with sea salt, which I hate. It would seem ridiculous to ship these back so I guess I'm stuck with them.The shipper needs to implement some quality checks.

I have ordered these a few times and they have been consistently good and fresh. Some packaged nuts are extremely salty but these are not, which is a little surprising since quite a bit of salt is in the bottom of the jar when the nuts are gone.

This canister of nuts contained 34 ounces of nuts, not the 40 ounces advertised. After I had already placed the order I noticed that others had complained about the same thing, yet Amazon still hasn't fixed the listing.Also the nuts were not as good as they had been on previous orders. Fully half the nuts were almonds. Now, I like almonds but these were supposed to be mixed nuts.

I just got my order! I just tried them out! I would have to give them the highest rating I can. The first thing I liked was that it was mixed with cashchews and pecans, not just almonds! A nice variety of nuts! the sea salt is a nice touch! I hope they keep making this product!

I have family members that our allergic to peanuts, so it is nice not to have to worry about picking out peanuts. This is a great value. Since we go through a lot of nuts, it is nice not to have to content with small cans.

These were old when they arrived and it seemed like the nuts had started to break down or something. I actually don't know how they managed to find a product this bad. When I buy the same brand in the store, they're great. Avoid this.

As much as I like peanuts, mixed nuts just have too many because they are cheap. I would rather spend a little more and get a better variety. This is a great selection.
