An almost perfect keyboard.
This is the second Rosewill keyboard I have purchased and I love them both. Cherry MX switches and a quality all metal base and enclosure make for a solid feeling and comfortable keyboard. The only issue with these keyboards is the cable connector. There is no support for the cable when plugged in and this connector will be subject to a lot of strain in most uses. I've solved the problem on my keyboards by installing (2) CableDrop Mini management devices on the back of the case and routing the cable through these to provide strain relief. (see photo)

Avoid this product.
It was good while it lasted. The USB connector failed after 8 months. Returned to Rosewill ($30 shipping) for warranty replacement. The replacement failed after 7 months.--- Original review ---It performs every function I would expect from a keyboard. No excessive bells and whistles. All of the keys are exactly where I expect them to be. The few extra media functions are conveniently both available and comfortably out of the way.I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.---Updated after 8 months---Multiple times a day the keyboard looses its USB connection to the PC and has to be unplugged and plugged back. A quick bit of research shows that this is a common problem..I am extremely disappointed.---Updated after 9 months---Returned keyboard to Rosewill for replacement under terms of the warranty. I payed to ship keyboard to them ($30). The keyboard I received back from them appeared to be new, but exhibited the same periodic disconnects as the original (broken) keyboard. It took the original keyboard several months before that started.---Updated after 16 months---The replacement keyboard has failed in the same manner the as the first.

Rosewill mechanical - good keyboard. USB can be an issue and letters tend to fade after use
Keyboard types well and feels durable (only time will tell). The brown switches works best for me, but other colors may fit you better. I would suggest reading up on which keyboard style is best for you and get that one. There are also mechanical key testing sets where you can have a sample of each type of key (brown, red, blue, etc.) that you can play with, which I'm sure will help aiding you in finding the right keyboard for you.As other reviews have stated, the USB is a concern as it can bend/break. Taking the advice of a few, I have gotten the clamps to keep the wires from bending, which will prolong the use of the keyboard (see image).Clamps I used: "Bluelounge CableDrop Black - Cable Management System"After some time of use, I have decided to get the O-rings as the bottoming out was a bit loud for my family. This solved the issue of noise without getting in the way of how the mechanical keyboard feels.O-rings used: "Cherry MX Rubber O-Ring Switch Dampeners Blue 40A-R - 0.4mm Reduction (125pcs)"The lettering on the keys tend to fade a bit with only a few months of use (especially WASD if you game). I bet after a year or longer some keys may not be visible. A major thumbs down for this issue. Could be an isolated issue, but if it is like this for everyone else, definitely think about whether this is going to work for you or notOverall, it does what it needs to and feels good typing. The fading of the keys is a bummer and the USB issue, though you can fix the USB problem by getting clamps

Pretty good until it breaks
It was a good product while it was working, but the USB connection failed after a few months. Online research shows it's a soldering issue at the point of the USB input port. Customer Service was very weak in terms of responses (fair turnaround for response time via email, but the actual content was very lackluster). I was finally able to RMA the product but only for a replacement which I assume this issue will occur for after some use as well. It took more than a month to get a replacement after getting a very long run-around. I have purchased plenty of Rosewill products, but I think I will stay away from their keyboards in the future.I would not recommend this product because it may break and dealing with the customer service rep was a terrible experience.

Great Cherry MX Brown keyboard for general/office typing
I really love this keyboard, the feel is great, and it's very solid. It's also much more workplace friendly than other options. I chose the brown as it's about as close the the original bucking spring style feel but less pronounced "click". I do actually like the feel of the bucking spring keyboards slightly more, but there's only one manufacturer I'm aware of still making them, and they aren't office friendly.----Reducing to 2*, while I do like the keyboard, the one I am using at work started misbehaving (errant key entry, repeat entries, etc) without even touching the keyboard. Also worth mentioning, a couple of the keys (right shift, left ctrl and a couple others) have the text nearly completely worn off. Will probably switch to a Corsair or a Das keyboard. The knock of the star comes down to a few things... First, the printing on the key caps has started to wear, it's been less than a year now, and I don't think I'll be able to even read some of them within 3-4 years, which I guess you can bring to regular wear, as typical membrane keyboards tend to only last a year or two before they need to be replaced, but I would expect a bit more for a switched keyboard. If I could knock another half star it would be for the printing on the keys as well as the lack of basic media/volume keys... As much as I don't want to see a dozen special keys, I've come to expect volume and play/pause on a modern keyboard. For reference, I use autohotkey to map Win + [. ] \ to volume down, up and mute respectively, and play/pause is usually space.Overall, the experience has been very good for as office friendly as you can get with a keyboard that you can still feel and hear. Physical keyboards at the proper hieght and distance from your person are also far less likely to create repeated stress injury (carpal tunnel)

Quite loud but very nice to use
Although the switches are quite loud they do have a satisfying click to them and make for really responsive typing and gameplay. It’s a nice dark black with a red lining under the keys.

Good keyboard, bad moulding on the keycaps, body can be fragile
Everything is of high quality apart from the keycaps. At the back, there are bears in the plastic and it is not a great thing to have, but you can ignore it if you want good value. Getting it for £65.33 was a fairly good price in my opinion

Solid construction, loose spacebar, no customer support yet.
Pros:-Cherry MX Blue key switches-Rigid construction-Heavy steel(?) chasis, no keyboard flex-Detachable, braided USB and PS/2 cables-Subtle styling, mostly black with red accent panel behind all keys, no gaudy RGB-Standard key layoutCons:-My space bar has an issue. If I click space bar on the far edge of the key(left or right side) then the opposite side pops out and stays out. What appears to be happening is the white receivers underneath each end of the space bar that the spreader bar hooks into are pulling out of the spacebar keycap itself. Seems like they're supposed to be friction fit in there so they don't pull out, but they're too loose. My Major gripe is that I contacted Rosewill through their contact us page and I have had no response after several days regarding this issue. This would be a 5 star keyboard without the space bar issue and lack of customer support. I will update this review upon customer support help.

Terrible keycaps.
The good: Cheapest mech keyboard with genuine cherry switches. The bad: The letters on the keys are put on with some kind of raised white paint, and some of my keys have turned dark and dirty and I have tried everything possible to wash the keycaps. This is after just a few weeks. No other keyboard I've ever owned has done this - unless you type with gloves on, your keys will look years old after a week or two.The other bad thing is that not all of the cherry switches are mounted in alignment with each other, my "6" key, for instance, seems to be at a different angle from the other numbers.Anyway, Im probably returning it because the letters on the keycaps are so dirty/worn after a couple weeks light use, that the keyboard looks old and filthy.

K81 RGB: Way better than expected
As the title suggests, I wasn't expecting much when I bought this keyboard. I'm coming from a Corsair K70 with MX Speeds (Silvers), and to be totally honest, the quality of this keyboard feels greater than my $250 K70. The stabilizers on this board (the parts used to stabilize longer keys, like the space bar) aren't wobbly at all. They have no rattle, whereas my K70 has MASSIVE amounts of rattle. The sound is actually quite satisfying. I can't comment much on the feel of the MX Browns, as I've only ever used MX Speeds, which are completely different. Haven't had a chance to explore the software associated with this thing, but I can't imagine it'll let me down. Already, I know it will serve its purpose well.As a keyboard enthusiast, I'm impressed with the value of this board. It's solid, has some weight to it, and the RGB is high quality. I paid $100 CAD. If you're looking for a budget board, this is it.
