Work so well I wish I had known about them years ago
These are superb. Make a secure and waterproof connection. Far better than chocolate blocks and easier than crimping for sleek cable splicing. I found a paint stripping heat gun worked a treat with these. Or a hot air solderer if you have one.

Dangerous product
I really can't believe these things can be sold legally. The tubing melts before the solder, leaving exposed metal. This happened with a heat gun and with a soldering iron in my test.

Great soldering solution
Bit fiddly, but seem to work. Needs quite a bit of heat to fully seal, but far better than my dodgy soldering. Very pleased.
