Don't buy. Worst wrinkling I have ever seen. Shrank and wrinkled like no other product I have ever purchased.Buy the Cubavera Men's Short-Sleeve Essential Guayabera Embroidered Shirt which is a 65% Polyester/35% Cotton mix instead which washes great, fits great and a joy to wear.

I have never worn a shirt made with the blend used in this shirt. At first, I thought I was wearing wool, it was so scratchy. I washed it first thing and it shrank in length about 3/4" which was fine by me as I am short and the length for a M was just a little too long. I followed the washing instructions exactly...use cold water and hang dry. This stuff does not dry wrinkle free. I had to get my iron out and flatten out the many wrinkles left over from the washing. The "scratchiness was still there after the first washing and I am hoping that it goes away completely after several washings. The fit was as expected for the shoulders and width. For the price I cannot complain, but definitely will be buying only traditional cotton or linen from now on.

Got this back in Jan'16 but didn't care to review it. I do now because it's actually falling apart. Yes, really. I wear it only sporadically so it didn't need a wash until a few weeks ago. I followed the instructions, cold wash, line dry. I ran it through the dryer after it was dry to take the stiffness out of it. It lost some of its shape and seemed about a half inch shorter, though softer. I didn't pay attention to the inside, just the outside surface. All seemed fine. I put it away. A few days ago as I'm taking it off the hanger I happen to see loose threads. That's when I see the inside back piece that goes across the shoulders was in shreds at the seam that connects to the rest of the back. The outer shoulder piece is intact and well sewn to the lower half of the back. It's only 8 mos old. Rather than go through the hassle of asking for a return at this date, I had it repaired so it's not returnable now.Because of this defect, I won't buy Cubavera again. Unfortunately, Sold & Shipped by Amazon only sells Cubavera brand Guayabera style shirts. I need another one but Amazon won't get the sale.

I just bought this shirt based on the first review and the shipping and packing was excellent. However, when I put the shirt on it was quite scratchy and I realized that it would not be cool in the heat of Texas. This is because the material is "55% Ramie/45% Rayon". I should have read the makeup of the shirt better. Cotton or linen is the preferred material for a guayabera shirt is my understanding.So I have a scratchy, uncomfortably hot shirt, that was made in China.I recommend you do not buy this item.Ok, Now it is a week later and I had the shirt dry cleaned for the first time and it seems ok and is not scratchy. It is not as bad as I first thought and I plan to wear it. It looks pretty good on me too.

This is my second cubavera guayabera. My first was purchased directly. I am medium in just about everything but I am size small in these so order down or measure yourself. The material is high quality and thick but extremely breathable which is why they are the choice for tropical weather. However, this particular shirt material is itchy...really itchy. You can only wear it with an undershirt. The embroidery and detail is elegant. I would definitely look into one of these.

An amazingly comfortable shirt. The fit is perfect. The stitching and design reflect pride in craftsmanship. The only complaint I have is the placement of the Cubavera tag. It was sewn into the bottom of the button flap. Standing up, this is not noticeable, but when you sit down and the flap opens, you have this brightly colored logo drawing attention to your lap. On a black shirt this is especially noticeable. Sorry Cubavera, but that logo strip had to go. I carefully cut the threads and removed it without damaging the shirt. If the company still wants to brand their shirts, fine, just put it on the inside of the flap; not the outside.This was the first one of these I ordered. Even with the inconvenient branding, I will definitely order more of these shirts for their quality, comfort and value.

Cubavera brand is always reliable. Good material and quality item. The shirts are usually a little "roomy" within the sizes, but this should be attributed to the general style of the garments that they sell. I always wear a medium shirt, but Cubavera shirts fit me better in the small size. Again, this should be attributed to the style of their shirts. Bought as a gift and enjoyed by recipient.

The color of the shirt is completely off. I ordered bright white and the shirt is a beige/cream color. I ordered bright white to match our sons shirts and you can certainly see a difference between theirs and his (theirs are bright white). Disappointed in the color we received and I need this for a party this weekend. Picture attached to show color difference.
