Studios Labyrinth Deluxe Gamepiece

I picked this up solely to paint the miniatures, not for use in the associated boardgame.The gold paint needs to soak in purple power for about 24-48 hours before you can easily scrub it off. I didn't worry too much about the gold that settles into the crevices in thicker layers but if you are really detail oriented I would suggest a scrub and a return to the soak.The material holds primer and then paint well, it was not damaged by the process and I am very happy with the level of detail on figures of this size. As is frequently the case the human figures have substantially less detail than the puppets, but I'm still happy with the end result.

Beautiful for display. The models are shaped nicely and are large enough to really see the detail. The background that comes in the display box is a beautiful picture of the labyrinth and castle beyond the goblin city. Must have for any Labyrinth collector. I have multiple sets purchased at various times and various prices. Amazon has the best price and most consistent quality where the packaging is concerned. These would be great for those looking to add detail with acrylics. Although I have the game board, I’ve never played and I am not aware how practical these would be if used for the game itself. They’re super cool to have though.

Disappointed in the way it was shipped in the package. I keep everything in its box as a collector. The products box is smushed on all four corners. Also the platic cover is coming off and open at the top with some white sticky residue on the inside. The plastic holder for the pieces is also smushed in. Thankfully the pieces themselves seem okay. Like i said only have this complaint because i keep the whole package intact as a collector. Was dismayed with one sheet paper covering the product in the oversized shipping box. Lots of room for shifting and damage.

These are beautiful in the fact that they look very much like the characters in the movie. However, they ARE NOT made of metal. They are solid resin, which does make them feel heavy. We are going to try to paint them in amore complimentary color like bronze or pewter. The gold color is very "cheesy" and, frankly, makes them look cheap.

Box is opened and damaged. Clearly a return that someone beat up sent to me. It also came in a box the size of 4 of these. It was not stuffed and free to smash around inside the larger box.If you plan to open it then it's great and you'll love it. If you're a collector go fish in another pond.

These figures were put on display. Quite large and very golden. A fine addition to my labyrinth collection.
