Sesame leaves are often used in Korean foods to enhance their flavor and taste. This vegetable is great with grilled meats.

The flavor is good as well
All the seeds I planted have sprouted and are growing FAST. The flavor is good as well. However, if you intend to plant this you must not let it get out of hand. In some southern areas it can become invasive. you need to take the time to pick the flowers off before they have time to go to seed. Don't plant more than you can handle.

Great germination and I had great success starting them indoors
Great germination and I had great success starting them indoors, then transplanting them to my garden once it got warm enough. They took off once outside and I was able to enjoy many harvests. Korean perilla leaves are one of my favorite Korean dishes to eat - weather used in "lettuce" wraps with Korean BBQ or done as a kimchi/jangaji. I even took that last season's harvest, stems and all, and did a blanched/sauteed version banchan. I'd order these again.

Seeds germinated quickly. Plants began producing leaves but bolted and flowered quickly. Harvested seeds and new plants are beginning to grow. Hopefully plants will produce more leaves before bolting.

I absolutely love these! You'll see results within 1-2 weeks of planting the seeds. They're strong and resilient. I haven't had a chance to taste these yet. I can't wait!

Not bad, but plants growing slowly
About 50% seed germination. Not bad, but plants growing slowly.
