Metal, Sturdy, and Can't Say For How Long Yet
Most Recent Edit: The legs are hard to secure into spots evenly for all 3 even though there are set grooves for spacers. I am already feeling comfy with using it though. You can get the hang of it. Just count the grooves of the first leg and set the rest equal.I was looking for a tripod under $100 that would hold my DSLR. I didn't want to trust a flimsy piece of crap. Reviews for similar tripods made me apprehensive as they mentioned creep and breakage. This thing is all metal, even the ball head. I do Macro work and whoever said you need a pan head I say bullcrap. I can line up a shot a lot faster with this thing. As the pictures show, I trust it at an angle and even with a bracket slider. I wouldn't trust a 4-way bracket slider just because I don't wanna add weight on a less than $100 tripod but I probably could. My total rig is probably 8LBS, so not the heaviest. If you don't have more than $100, get this tripod. It works and is sturdy. The only thing I fear is how long it will remain so.

Solid, smooth, and versatile
This is a solidly made tripod with great features at a good price. The material and built quality are impressive giving rise to smooth operations overall. It’s really stable thanks partly to its weight, slightly heavier than I prefer but may be an advantage for the professional. Btw, the turquoise highlighted collars on the release rims make the tripod look handsome and expensive, a real nice touch.

Wonderful Tripod
Extremely sturdy, wonderfully balanced, just a tad heavier than it seems like it should be. Also, the carrying case is a bit flimsy, and the end caps on the legs over the stabilization spikes can be a challenge to get off. That being said; I’d much rather have them be hard to remove than have them be falling off all the time lol. All in all, it’s great.

Careful
I've had mine for awhile now. They are very good for my 20 x 80 binoculars. Make sure you tighten everything first thing. The top mast fell over on mine. I would have given it a higher rating. I made due using black tape to hold it together. It's a tall tripod so it doesn't hurt with the height for me. Very sturdy and durable with both sets of feet. Well worth the money but be very careful unpacking. Thanks

Excellent customer service. Solid tripod.
So far I've taken the tripod to national parks in Canada, Texas, Tennessee, and California. It's not the lightest tripod for hiking/travel, but I'm a fairly fit guy and wanted to sacrifice a bit more lightweight for stability. The ball head and swivel is great and clamps down solid. The feet tend to screw loose. I lost one and customer service immediately mailed me some spare parts fo pick from. Would put some thread locker on the feet next time, but a solid response. Extra star for that!

High quality and sturdy!
Solid and well made. I love the monopod option. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on ease of use was because there were no directions to set it up or take it apart for the monopod. I figured it out on my own. This thing is reasonably priced for the sturdiness and so much better than the free ones you get when you buy a camera.

It is extremely sturdy but...
I am on my third of these tripods. I really like weight and versatility of this tripod but the first two I had to return because 1 of the legs wouldn’t lock in place. 3rd time the charm? I’m hopeful it is. I like that it comes with an extra mounting plate and you can change out the rubber feet for spiked feet for outside. The carrying bag is nice as well and well padded. The height is great is better than 66” ones we kept finding. My husband are not very tall (5’ 3” and 5’ 9”) but most seem to be 66” tall ~ which means we still have to bend to see clearly. This for a spotting scope so strength is very important. The description online says “load capacity is 39lbs.” But the instructions that come with it states “Load 11.02 lbs”. It is still enough for our scope but I wasn’t real happy about the difference. Ones we were looking at were $500 and up so for $60 I don’t think you can go wrong. Fingers crossed for the 3rd being in good shape.

A solid unit and folds up small
This is a solid unit and when I received it I unfolded it and used it with a standard camera. Took a little bit to get used to but once I got used to it, it was great. Could use a little more instructions for the use and converting it to mono-pole.

screw connection is losing with time.
Construction and functionality are good. but screw connection is losing with time. therefore the cammer could not tighten properly.

Amazingly good for the price!
Back in the day you’d pay a few hundred bucks for a tripod this full featured. It’s really decent.

Check the top bracket
For some reason the double sided threaded stud which is between the top swivel bracket and the tripod was installed in correctly. The stud has two different thread type at either end and was in upsidedown. It would tighten up but would always seem to loosen up so I knew something was messed up. Once I flipped this stud around it became much more sturdier of a tripod. I was close to sending it back but glad I figured it out because it is a great unit with lots of height adjustment which is needed for star gazing with binoculars. Nice color and build quality for the price too.
