This was purchased as a gift for my grandson and he loved it.

Great little buildable engine. I purchased it for my 13 year old and he loves it.

As other models I own made by Mould King, this one does not disappoint in detail and challenge. This building set renders a very nice looking V8 engine model. This engine is part of a series of engines that they offer, that I can say are very detailed and well designed to achieve looks and simulate functionality.This model comes with several parts that are "plated" with a metallic finish that looks very realistic on the model. Be careful with those parts because the paint may get scratched.The colors of the bricks are usually homogeneous. In some rare occasions, the larger bricks may have assembly challenges, but for this set, it wasn't' the case. I am finding the build very enriching and fun.The instructions material are of very good quality, well printed and clear. I think a 14 year old interested in mechanics would find this build very exciting. Also, a much older person, if they have the patience. I think the assembly methodology could be complex to follow for some people. They lack the simplicity of other brands; but they provide enough detail that once the method is understood, work well.The addition of a small motor and battery gives this build the great touch of movement. Making the cylinders move at their timing and synchronization as an L6 engine would is a beautiful detail that I appreciated.

I bought this kit for my husband, who has torn down and rebuilt more engines than I can count. The instructions with this kit are ridiculous. It's all pictures (poor ones) with arrows going every which way and no specifics about how to put the kit together. My hubby will muddle through and figure it out, but don't purchase this for a first-timer or someone who doesn't understand what the components of an engine are or how they are supposed to go together!

Was fun to build but turning parts hardly stick together long when running. The picture also shows a clear crank cover, but in truth its opaque and you cant see much of the running pistons when its assembled. But it was a fun learning experience.

So much fun. It really works. Great project that took about 4 hours total. Mix of easy and more difficult assembly steps. Highly recommend for adult model and toy brick lovers.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this as a birthday present for my 12 year old grandson. He had fun building this and had it completed in less than a week. Everything works awesome as you can see in the video he provided me. So interactive and has its own jack stands ! I highly recommend this. It’s a great stem product for a great price.
