Extended Range Validated
Great Bluetooth adapter. I bought this so I can walk further away with my wireless headphones before things get 'choppy' with sound. I have walls blocked with bookcases and I can seemingly be more flexible with where I am at physically while still hearing audio from my PC fine. Short: I have extended range, and better reflected signals.Caveat for folks on Windows, is Windows seems to only use one Bluetooth adapter at a time. So if you have a laptop and plug this in.... it will be using the internal device/antenna. If you power cycle the laptop Windows will tend to use an externally plugged in Bluetooth adapter, like this. If you want, you can go into 'Device Manager', hunt down the 'Bluetooth' category, and disable the internal device. (restart for Windows to then always use the external device, regardless if plugged in on power on or not)If the device doesn't seem to be working, Google the model of device and "driver download" keywords to fetch the newest software for the device.

Good quality usb bluetooth adapter
I had just installed a new motherboard and cpu to upgrade to win 11. I was get some odd noise on my bluetooth headphones and decided to upgade my bluetooth dongle. I followed the mildly cryptic instructions, downloaded the driver file from the tp-link site and ran the setup file. This lead to a reboot followed by adding my blue tooth devices to the new usb adapter. this when quite easily and soon I was back up and running. The noise problem seems to be gone and bluetooth range seems better, but I can readily quantify how much.My previous blue tooth dongle was more than 5 years old and was made for a lower bluetooth spec (5.1?).I feel like the price is good and the little antenna seems to provide extended coverage.Good Luck.. Happy Days

Works as advertised. Works out of box on Ubuntu-based Linux. Amazing Range.
I use this to connect my Airpods Pro 2nd gen to my laptop. Sound quality is perfect. Range is great, it keeps connection throughout my whole house basically.Just a tip: Put this at least 4-6 inches away from a WiFi USB dongle or Wireless RF USB Mouse Receiver if possible, because some interference can happen if they're plugged in right next to each other which did happen and diminish sound quality for me. However, that's not the fault of the manufacturers because it's an unavoidable fact of wireless communication, so I will not deduct a star.

Rough installation, Great performance
Installation kind of chaotic:I had to talk to Deepseek and have it help me install the driver on my Windows 10 gaming PC. In the end after 5 install attempts using the default driver and then the specific driver from the support website, I was able to install the driver and disable my PC's default bluetooth driver that comes with the Intel CPU by:Turning off FirewallsTurning off Anti VirusAnd running the driver setup.exe as AdminThis kind of sketched me out so I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else bought this. I can say that worked and my computer didn't explode.Works Really well!Ok, lastly, I want to say I struggled with PS4 controllers not being able to connect to my PC and stay connected. In the past Idk how many things I tried to get the built in bluetooth card to work. I had the same issue with my last PC and so I thought I must be doing something wrong. The PS4 controllers would connect briefly but then disconnect often or whenever I tried connecting another one. SO I've have a hub with long cables all over the place just to be able to play wired with multiple controllers. I just want you to understand the trials I've endured to get a PS4 controller to simply work. Anyway, once this bad boy was up and running I've never had a problem and I could probably connect hundreds of controllers no problem, idk. But even with the installation difficulties, I love this thing like my own son.

Just what I needed
Works perfectly! Wanted to use my PS5 controller wirelessly on my PC so I can play some of those games on my TV. Works great and no issues noted so far. Decent range as well! Make sure to download the correct driver (I had to do it manually) and you shouldn't have issues. Look up youtube vids on how to pair your controlelr if you don't know how. It's not hard.It picked up a bunch of my other devices pretty easily as well. My GPU is blocking my slot for my old bluetooth device. So USB is my only way of getting bluetooth. Glad it doesn't cost too much either.

Get this BT adapter with antenna if you’re experiencing BT lag!
Excellent BT (bluetooth) connectivity! This unit replaced my other plug-in BT 5.3 usb device that does not have the antenna. The previous plug-in BT device was to replace the built-in BT device of my mini PC running Windows 11.I use BT for my wireless keyboard with built-in touch pad in my home theater. Before this unit, my keyboard’s touch pad had lots of lag. I initially suspected it was the keyboard, so I ended up ordering two (2) more. They all ended up having the same lag, where the touchpad would not track properly. I would move my finger across the touchpad and the mouse cursor on the screen would not move or move several seconds later or erratically.Looking for a possible replacement keyboard, I noticed that customers complained about the general lag with other BT keyboards. It dawned on me then that the BT lag issue was most likely due to the BT adapter’s signal strength. So I ended up purchasing this new BT adapter with the antenna. Now with this new BT adapter, all previous touch pad lag has gone. I now have two (2) BT keyboards connected simultaneously and can use both keyboards with zero lag! If you currently encounter lag issues with your BT keyboard with built-in touch pad, I highly recommend this BT 5.3 adapter with antenna!

Works with Arch Linux.
Just received this and plugged it into my Arch pc running kernel 6.14.7-arch2-1. This replaced my old BT 5.0 dongle. This TP-Link adapter indeed has better range than my old dongle. I assume that if you are running a relatively new kernel you should be able to use this.
