Excellent looking excellent value
Despite the picture, please read on, because I highly recommend these. I have the Satin Nickel finish and they look so good in two bedrooms in the house. I really love the way they look.To save doing too much work, I was looking for lamps that required a 75 mm diameter opening. Obviously if you don't have the holes or they're not the right size, you have a bit more work to do, including reinforcing the hole as springs on these type of fittings can damage plasterboard ceilings. Just note you may just about get away with a 76mm opening, but much more and the fitting is likely to pull into the hole as the bezel needs to be detached before fitting. One of mine was slightly large and I had to do a bit of work to fill the edges and put reinforcing. The bezel is a few millimetres wider, so if the hole is not perfect, this will hide some imperfections. These were purchased to replace low voltage lighting with transformers which were failing. Wiring these in was relatively easy as the connections are push fit rather than having to use a screwdriver, which for a few years has been my preferred way of making electrical connections.Once the main fitting is in place, you slot a lamp into the bezel. A metal clip holds the lamp in place. I used Philips LED GU10 Light Bulbs,3.8 W (50W) - WarmGlow Dimmable, Pack of 6 in one room and the non-dimmable in the other room. The Philips bulbs in themselves provide brilliant light at very low energy consumption, but as I believe these bulbs are more compact than many low energy light bulbs, the clip on the bezel did not hold down the bulbs as firmly. When I fitted the bezel, which requires a quarter of a turn, the bulbs would sometimes ride up on one edge. This meant fiddling around until they lay flat. As is say you can get bulbs that are not as compact, but do pay attention to the spec of these fittings because some bulbs could be too long in length. It the whole was slightly too big the main fitting could go into the hole a bit too much making the fitting of the bezel difficult. However, this is easily resolved by pulling the fitting just a little out of the ceiling, fitting the bezel and letting the fitting spring back into the ceiling.I did have one big problem with one of the fittings. As another reviewer mentioned the metal the spring is made of is quite weak. One snapped as shown in the picture and the metal went through my finger. I contacted the seller and a replacement was sent fairly quickly after they finally understood what I was asking 5 emails later. So, overall, despite the issues with the spring on the one fitting, I will buy these again for the landing. They look very, very good and compared with many downlights, easy to fit. They are also very good value for the money.

Perfect for Hue bulbs nice low profile look.
Used by our electrician for our living room,He did comment the the part to wire up could have been more generous, however he got it done just fine.We asked for this type of unit over sealed units with bulbs, because we wanted to use HUE Bulbs. We chose white to blend in with the ceiling, won't try to describe the shade but we are happy with the look. The units have a nice low profile bezel and fit snug to the ceiling, sometimes requiring a wiggle to seat allowing for insulation getting trapped.Someone complained that removeing the full bezel marked the paint on the ceiling, this is easily avoided by pulling the fitting down slightly away from the painted surface.Have brought 10 more for the kitchen definitely recommended.

Poor product , avoid
Well all arrived safely and on time , which is about as good as it gets .Opened them up on arrival and they looked the part. Then the trouble begins.I ordered 18 single units for the project , 1 x 10 pack and and 2 x 4packs .Opening the 10 pack first 2 of the lamps were faulty straight out of the box with damaged ceramic lamp holders, see picture above. The next issue I was presented , was the way the bulbs fit in the unit , you have to remove the Complete bezel to change the bulb , on this lamp the bezel sits completely flush with the ceiling , so not only does it make it extremely tricky to twist the bezel to change the lamp , you will create marks on your ceiling every time you need to change a bulb.As for fitting the units , I was using them to replace existing lamps, now as we all know plasterboard gets old and removing the old lamps does a little damage , which is normally easily remedied , and normally you have a bit of give with the bezel being considerably larger than the lamp holder to cover up any minor blemishes , but these lamps the bezel is only just every so slightly larger than the lamp holder therefore no room for error or damage cover up , also the springs for the unit are incredibly strong , probably as they should be , but just getting the lamp in causes minor surface damage and this took me much longer to sort as it should have , due to filling , drying , testing , doing a bit more damage , filling , drying , and so forth , took me ages to sort some of the lamps.Next issue is out of the 13 lamps I was changing in one room , 3 of them I can’t for the life of me get them to fit flush to the Ceiling , there is no damage where the springs set, so I’m losing the will to live with them.As for the remaining units I had ear marked for other rooms , they will be returned and I’ll source another manufacturer, and I will probably replace the ones I have fitted at another time with better unit. “ probably when I need to change a bulb “

The fixture clip will break. Chose alternative quality brand.
Awful. The design of the clip to hold the fixture firm against the ceiling cannot have been tested enough. Clearly no thought was given into how easy these would be to fix on place. As a result of this poor design 4 of the 10 lights are now broken. I wonder if these lights are a cheap Chinese make with zero quality testing?? What's more the product was listed as an "Amazon Recommends. Will Amazon issue my refund or should I go back to the seller?

Happy with this purchase
I tried these light cans in our hallway, they are working very well, super easy to install when we first did. I went ahead and purchased more of these for the remaining lights in my house. They are very well made light cans , look stylish against our white ceiling, Also there is no gap between bezel and ceiling. I am really happy with this purchase, would highly recommend.

great lights and great service
the way this fitting has been designed is excellent especially if you need to change a bulb. ordinarily this is a pain and time consuming but these fittings make it so much easier and you do not have to worry about the length of the bulb as there is plenty of space for a short length bulb up to a long length bulb ie 50mm to 75mm easily.
