Be Quiet BG005 SILENT BASE 600 Computer Case - Orange

I was always a case skeptic. If everything fitted and I could wedge the cables under something, I was happy. Boy was I wrong. This purchase was necessitated by a lack of research on my part, casually skipping past the length information of my new graphics card. Noob mistake. However, I have never been more happy to make a noob mistake. This case is the following :-1. Beautifully made for the price.2. Beautiful looking without looking like it's auditioning for Star Trek.3. Beautifully quiet.4. Beautifully easy to build into.5. Beautifully merciful on the wallet.My only gripe? The thing is so quiet I can hear my hybrid drive in there like it's spinning rocks in a washing machine. Now I'm dropping £400 on an M.2. Well worth a purchase over a lot of more expensive cases, save perhaps NZXT, who are doing an eye-blisteringly beautiful range at the moment.Anyway, buy it if you're money is tight and you want to be happy!

I'm very happy with this case which I used to build a new DAW for my studio. Silent operation is important and this is very quiet indeed. Easy installation of 2 x SSD and 3 x HDD. Perfect!

Over all I'm very happy with this case. Its solidly built and allows for lots of build options. The only real criticism I have is the lack of helpfully positioned tie offs for cable management. Given the attention that's gone into other aspects of cable management, this seems a silly omission.EDIT: Have lived with this case for over a year now, and for the most part it's been OK. However in that time I've also learned more about case design and I have to say that it's very restricted in terms of air flow through the front, as an inspection of the front panel will quickly reveal. Now I know this is done deliberately to deaden sound, BUT the problem is that if air can't move then front fans have to work harder, which increases noise. So the theory only works if you're not generating that much heat to ramp up the PWM and spin up the fans. If you use the case fan controller of course, without monitoring you could be pleased with how quiet it is while slowly cooking your CPU to a possibly shorter life span. I'm going to mod the front panel so the fans can draw air directly in, rather than through the silly side vents (which are also obstructed by the mesh mounting) - the idea is to drill a hundred or so small holes to allow the fans to work less hard when the PWM spins them up. Hopefully I'll do a neat enough job, but I suspect anyone who's watched Gamers Nexus would be reaching for their drill, same as me ;)

Excellent design. This is the first time I've built a PC without cutting my paws! Without fitting additional cooling gear the CPU and graphics card are running without clock speed throttling.The build quality is good but not as good as you'd expect if it was built in Germany.

Beautiful case with excellent engineering and attention to detail. I buitt the PC using a lot of BeQuiet parts and it was ultra quiet even before I put the case together but once assembled total silence - what a wonderful improvement in my working conditions!

Sexy looking case with lots of room, bit of a pain to get all the cables in but other than that, it's very nice.

I built a developer workstation and one of the main priorities for me was silent operation. I decided to go without overclocking to keep the noise and the cost down. The components I chose:Case: Be quiet - Silent Base 600PSU: Be quiet - Straight Power 10 500W 80 Plus Gold Semi-ModularCPU: i7-6700 3.4GHzCPU Cooler: Be quiet - Shadow Rock SlimMotherboard: ASRock H170M PRO4RAM: HyperX FURY Black Series 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2400 MHz DDR4HDD: Samsung Evo 800 500gbAs you can see, all "noisy" components are sourced from Be Quiet.The CPU Cooler and the PSU are absolutely 100% superb - inaudible in normal operation.By far the weakest component in the above list is the case, the SILENT BASE 600, due to 2 reasons:- the assembly was challenging, top and front panels are very difficult to remove.- the two case fans (Be Quiet Pure Wings 120 and Pure Wings 140) are by far and away the noisiest parts of the build (when the HDD is in sleep mode). At full speed, I would describe the fan noise as very loud. When brought down to 20%, the fans are not loud but audible. The fan noise is very unpleasant and attracts attention.- When the HDD is on (I use it for media storage), the case actually resonates in low frequency and becomes clearly audible, almost loud.The verdict: either I have dodgy case fans or should upgrade to Silent Wings 3 120 + 140. The case was not cheap so it is disappointing. Still, I'm a Be Quet fan, because the CPU Cooler and the PSU, as I said, are absolutely superb.

Awesome, quiet as mouse. Could run it next to a baby's crib. Loads of room. Only issue, and it is a small one. There is a dust tray on the bottom that can only be removed from behind the machine, meaning the PC needs to be pulled out of where it is by a significant amount before access to tray is granted. TBH, not a major issue.

En pocas palabras: volvería a comprar el producto otra vez sin dudarlo.Venía de una torre de la marca Gigabyte que estaba contento, pero nunca tuve la necesidad de cambiarla por el hecho de ampliaciones internas o por la tarjeta gráfica de gama normal.Lo que cada vez que quería poner un nuevo SSD o alguna unidad, era bastante engorro el tema de cables, ya que la torre no estaba preparada como las nuevas.A demás, mirando en el mercado, era un poco difícil ya en 2021 encontrar torres con bahías de 5.25", que podrán estar en desuso, pero para mí seguía siendo algo fundamental, a que quería conservar mi grabadora de DVD y a parte un multi-lector con smart-card que tengo, así que mirando en lo poco que había en el mercado me encontré con esta maravilla diseñada en Alemania y que ha cumplido las expectativas sobradamente.Esta concretamente dispone de 3 bahías de 5.25", lleva 4 puertos USB (2xUSB 3.0 y 2 x USB 2.0), botón grande de powerON con led naranja y otro pequeño led también naranja de lectora de disco duro.He de comentar, que no es una torre pequeña, ya que las dimensiones son de 24 cm de ancho...51 cm de largo y 49 de alto...es bastante bestia.En esta ocasión la mía es la lleva el frontal naranja, y los laterales opacos, os lo comento por del mismo modelo los hay con laterales en otros colores y la tapa izquierda transparente.Es la primera vez que me compro una torre de calidad (no se que tal serán las Lian Li, Corsair y demás), pero esta cumple totalmente la expectativa y se nota que es otro nivel.En Youtube hay varios videos haciendo unboxing del producto y explicándolo muy bien con todas las opciones que lleva.Como he dicho, muy contento con la compra.

Alla ricerca di un nuovo case da utilizzare per la mia nuova postazione mi sono imbattuto in questo ed è stato subito amore!Andando oltre il gusto estetico lo trovo un case ben rifinito, sia nella parte esterna, che nell'interno. L'assemblaggio si effettua senza problemi, non ci sono lamiere taglienti e i piedini per schede madri atx sono già installati. Bisogna porre attenzione ad un eventuale smontaggio del pannello frontale e di quello superiore, le alette sono in plastica e molto rigide, si corre il rischio di romperle.I passaggi per i cavi, sufficienti e disposti correttamente, uniti ad uno spazio adeguato nella paratia laterale destra, permettono di effettuare un degno cable management. Manca magari qualche asola in più per fissare i cavi.Nei cavi predisposti del pannello frontale trovo un pò antipatico quello delle porte USB 3.Viene fornito con 2 ventole già preinstallate, uno davanti e una sul retro, che si possono gestire su tre livelli di rotazione grazie al controller integrato.Per quanto riguarda il rumore viene abbastanza soppresso, ovviamente deve essere abbinato anche a componenti come alimentatore o dissipatori dal basso impatto rumoroso per goderne maggiormente.Fate attenzione alle dimensioni perché rispetto ad alcuni concorrenti è leggermente superiore

Très bon rapport qualité/prix, facile à monter, très silencieux même avec les panneaux fermés, aucune vibration, bonne ventilation, bonne finition.A 50% de vitesse on entend à peine les ventilateurs, et même à 100% ils font un bruit supportable, mais y'a pas besoin de les faire tourner aussi vite de toute façon, même en jeu 50% ça suffit et on les entend à peine.Gros avantage, il y a des câbles intégrés pour brancher jusqu'à 3 ventilateurs, pas besoin de les brancher sur la carte mère ( y'a que deux ventilateurs fournis mais au total on peut en mettre partout, sur les cotés, en bas et sous le panneau du haut ).ATTENTION pour pouvoir placer les SSD sur les plaques à l'arrière il faut des SATA plats, pas en coin. Si vous avez des fiches en coin ça rentrera pas, comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo jointe. Les fiches d'alimentation peuvent aussi poser problème.Le seul autre endroit pour fixer un SSD c'est sur le dessus du rack HDD donc pas très pratique, et vous ne pouvez en mettre qu'un. Il n'y a pas de 2eme cage fournie avec donc si vous avez plus d'un SSD il faut les mettre sur les plaques derrière la carte mère.

Absolut großartiges PC case - sieht nicht nur genial aus, sondern läßt sich super einfach mit sämtlichen Bauteilen bestücken, ist sehr geräumig und das Verstecken der Kabel läßt es hinterher soagr noch sauber aussehen. Case ist extrem leise - kann ich einfach nur weiterempfehlen! Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Possibilité de rajouter un ventilateur 140 avant à ce dispositif.À vitesse minimale (amplement suffisant en utilisation bureautique) il faut se pencher sur la tour pour entendre un souffle. C'est beau le silence.Même vitesse maximale, le bruit des ventilateurs reste plus que raisonnable. En aucun cas gênant.La conception ergonomique et modulable permettra de monter jusqu`à deux grosse cartes graphiques en SLI.Au final, un rapport qualité/prix exceptionnel.Je re-re-re-recommande.
