It started with a home office makeover. I had some wooden panelling put in behind the office desk that had some integrated lighting stripes built in. In person it looks great but over my old logitech stream cam on calls I looked like I was haloed in a white aura. Good if I was going for a sort of techno-messiah look, but not great if I wanted to look like an actual human with a normal skin tone. So after some research on the web into cameras that gave a more realistic lighting profile and real skin tones I kept seeing positive things for this and it's predecessor. It was expensive but I couldn't do much with the camera I had so I took the risk. Before plugging it in I thought how much difference can it make? Turns out a lot! The quality of my video on my M3 pro work macbook was amazing, the room and me were suddenly rendered and lit on video pretty much as the room looks in real life. The lighting strips behind me were no longer too bright, I'd lost my halo and I looked human skin tone wise. Detail improved too more than I expected and it even now handles close objects held up to it well like printed text. The tracking gimble is responsive and even frames me if I walk across the room. It can get confused if I rush to get the door and leave the room but it's easy to correct when I return. The software is easy to use and firmware updated when I plugged it in for the first time without issues. The camera is well made and the monitor grip is much more substantial than my older logitech camera stand. The usb-c cable it comes with is a little short but since it detaches you can just use your own longer one. It is really nice that when it's not in use it automatically pivots downwards so that it is no longer pointing in your direction. It's an expensive bit of kit but I really recommend it if you want a better quality of picture even in challenging lighting conditions.

I like to be able to switch between my home and work laptops and use the same screens, keyboard, mouse and webcam. But when I changed jobs and was issued a MacBook Pro I discovered my webcam was not fully supported - it worked but there is no driver or software for Apple, so the image quality was bit good.I did my research and found this model which works perfectly with both machines and I can seamlessly toggle between them again. I still keep my old webcam as a backup on the Windows machine but selfie use it.I love the pan, tilt and zoom although when tracking is on (even on slow) it can leave people feeling a little giddy!

Brilliant camera, works every time and performance very well. Video quality and colours are really good and the zoom is pretty powerful. There's basically no setup just plug and play if that's your way. The included tripod and the base on its own means you can pretty much place it anywhere on your desk. A bit expensive overall but after six months of use I feel it was worth it if it lasts another couple years, that is.

UPDATE: Insta360 got back in touch with me, and helped me sort out the issues I had.Therefore I have updated my rating as many of the issues got resolved.The only tweaking that needs to happen in my opinion is to the tracking. And I suspect this can be updated via the firmware. As the one thing that is solid with this camera is the hardware is top notch.ORIGINAL REVIEW:First the pluses, the image quality was amazing (I mean it leaves the more expensive Logitech Brio MX in the dust). The sound quality is excellent, I tried a sample recording and it is almost as good as a separate £130 mic I had.However the software is infuriating. I tried it on 2 Hugh end PCs (so plenty of processing power and both running Windows 11 Pro, and a Mac also, and I constantly had issues that when I started a meeting I would get a message that another app was using the camera. Essentially I had to restart my PC AND Mac to get it to work.The type of work I do is that I meet people on MS Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. So the amount of times I joined a call and couldn’t connect the camera was nuts.I tried killing processes that could be using it, tried unplugging from USB and back in, and only a restart would resolve the issue.I had little choice (and I REALLY wanted this to work), but I had to send it back.Usually software on products tend to be good with poor hardware (such as Logitech), but this is the other way round.

Great webcam with excellent functionality. Software is good. There is a small issue with resolution resetting to 720p on Zoom calls but the is likely an issue with zoom.

Bought this with high expectations. The spec looks great, and exactly what I wanted. The product unfortunately fell well short of this.Paid good money, for what SHOULD have been a brand new product, but looks to have been a re-packaged prototype model with prototype firmware and hardware, that had firmware several issues below the stated released firmware for the product. Problem was the camera firmware could NOT be updated and was NOT compatible with the latest firmware (with 2 release of firmware available, and couldn't use either of them, and there were BIG bug fixes and improvements that you need ).Wasted days and tens of hours of my time trying to get a fix from Customer support. They don't reply to ANY emails, and 2 weeks later still no response. Posted on Facebook and got a response, but complete waste of time, just give you the run around and waste your time with no technical competence and no interest in resolving anything.All I can say is PLEASE read this companies reviews on Trustpilot before you buy.Chinese company selling products that are still prototypes, at premium price, with no customer support and no means to get any issues fixed.Company refused to help or fix anything. Returned to Amazon for a FULL REFUND. Just feel sorry for any customers who have bought direct. Wasted their money. Better off donating your hard eared cash to charity than donating it to these highwaymen.
