Works great, just charge the night before
I play the flute with the organ at my church quite a bit, and organs are quite loud. It was hard to hear my flute above the organ and I was very excited to try out this microphone. I actually clip this microphone to a stand next to my flute since it was so sensitive it was picking up the sounds of me pressing the keys when I had it clipped to my flute as recommended. There is a wireless receiver that you plug into your amplifier or sound board and it comes with an adapter for if you need a larger plug than the one on the receiver. It also comes with a double charging cable so you can charge both the microphone and the receiver at the same time. This has worked beautifully for me and the only complaint that I have is that the battery doesn’t last very long. I need to remember to charge it the night before I need it or it probably won’t have enough battery the morning I need to use it. So far I am very happy with this microphone.

So close to really good...
The Good:Fits well (I play a wooden flute which is larger/wider than a western traditional flute) and it just fits.Easy to figure out. I did not need the instructions although if I were to use some of the features I masy refer to them.Smaller than the lav mic I had been using. The bad: At this price it's a major down side that this isn't USB-C. Micro USB should not be coming with modern electronics. While it does just fit over my flute it seems like it would have been easy to figure out another method of fixing it to an instrument that allows for an even wider variety of diameters. I am planning on getting a lower octave flute soon and that will be a larger diameter, this mic just barely fits on my current flute so I will need to figure out another way to attach it or keep my older lav mic just for that flute. You should know the 1/4" jack adapter was so tight I thought it was broken. I had to get a light in there to see it was just a very stiff lever spring in there. This is fine for retention, but it may feel like it's broken.

Wireless Microphone for Woodwind Intruments!
This is a very neat set up!!I play the flute and it can put out some sound, but for recording or streaming it's hard to hear on the recording/playback.Playing into a microphone helps the pickup a lot, but it also picks up the air that it used to produce the sound. And at times the sound of the air can make it hard to hear the flute.I was skeptical when this wireless mic for Woodwinds was available; due to my own personal experiences. That's why I was happy when this actually worked much better than I expected it to!This picks up the sound beautifully! There will be a little trial and error to find the perfect position to have this sitting so it will pick up the sound and not the wind from your mouth.I definitely HIGHLY recommend this to any flute player that is always trying to improve their playing!

Sounds Like I Joined Jethro Tull!
It's amazing how magnificent you can make the sounds coming from your flute sound when you run them through a PA system from a mic! My alto flute was making sounds reminiscent of Jethro Tull! This set comes with a split USB charging cable that I used to charge the transmitter and receiver before use. The clamp is a little tight to easily put on my alto flute, but I was able to do it. I'm not sure if it would realistically fit on a clarinet. I plugged the receiver into the input jack of my PA system. Pairing it with the transmitter is not complicated...the two devices pretty much pair up on their own. I like that these devices have a sliding on/off switch on their sides, so there is no way that they can be turned off accidentally by unknowingly pressing a button. I was happy that I didn't hear scratchiness coming across the PA speakers, like I sometimes hear when using other wireless mic transmitter systems for other instruments. I attached the mic below the mouthpiece of my flute and adjusted its flexible arm to a good position. When I played, it sounded dreamy! That's partially because I'd adjusted my PA to add some reverb and to amplify the bass sounds. The one thing to remember though is that the mic picks up voices too, so if you sneeze or your dog barks, that also comes out of the speaker! But if you happen to like to sing, this characteristic can be handy! I'm very happy with this mic and will continue having fun trying it out of my other flutes and woodwinds. Fun stuff, for sure!

UHF so interference free!
Works fine, it's UHF so you won't have issues with interference though the sound reproduction won't be the best either.

Simple and easy to use
I got this mic to use with a variety of instruments that my kids play, so we could amplify their sound or run them through an effects processor. I just wanted a simple transmitter / receiver pair and that's what I got. It works well and is easy to use. I appreciate that it came with a mini-phono to phono adapter, that lets me use it with our guitar amp without having to hunt for an adapter. My only nitpick is that it uses micro-USB instead of USB-C. I have very few things that use micro anymore and none of them are recent purchases.
