This is a nice set for starting pottery at home. The tools are good quality and there’s practically everything needed to follow along with most online tutorials. Just search for “air dry clay projects” and there are lots of things to try.The clay is easy to work with and can be easily rehydrated by dipping my fingers in a bowl of water. Wrapping the unfinished work in damp kitchen towels and then clingfilm keeps it from drying out so you can work on it over a few days. You can also mist it with a spray bottle to keep the outer layer from hardening.The opened clay needs to be stored wrapped in cling film in an airtight container to keep it from drying out. You can add extra water to the clay to further help prevent it from drying between sessions. If you have one, you can also vacuum seal the clay which will help it lasts for months.One annoying thing about air dry clay is that it can crack when drying, especially if it dries too quickly and the pieces are small or thin. The best way to prevent it is to try to prevent it from drying too quickly. It took me a bit of trial and error to find a good spot in a the house to dry my finished pieces.The paints are quite nice. I like to give my projects a coating with white paint first, so that it gives a “clean slate” for the paint. This is even true on the white clay since it can sometimes be a bit greyish. I tested the colours of the paints first on a dried piece of clay to make a “colour swatch” so that I knew what they would look like on the finished piece.I think this kit is great for beginners and kids because there’s so much included that you can do almost any beginner project without needing to invest in anything else.I’m currently in the process of making some Halloween table decorations and I’ll be making some Christmas ones too.

This is a fantastic kit for those who have never tried pottery at home with air dry clay, the kit includes everything you need to get started. The box includes instructions on how to use the kit, as well as the clay itself (four 500g bags), a large variety of tools, letter stamps, sponges, paint brushes, paint, and loads more. Everything contained in the box seems overall very good quality for value and especially for beginner level. It's a great kit to get for families or gifts, or to try out a new hobby!

This air dry pottery kit contains loads of handy tools and gadgets for you to experiment with different techniques and designs.It comes with 4 quite large packets of clay that are big enough to make a medium sized pot or plate.I have made some plant pots and I enjoyed playing with different textures and then using the paints to personalise the designs.The instructions give a good guide about how long it will take to dry. You do need to be patient and not expose pieces to any heat while drying otherwise they might crack.

This kit has so many parts, it's been incredible value. It's very nicely presented so makes it perfect for gifting. What a fab idea to give as a couples gift or just enjoy with friends.They've thought of everything, clay, tools, stamps.It's the sort of thing you can buy more clay and continue using all the accessories.I've not made anything yet as it will be perfect for winter nights to get a bit creative instead of watching TV.It's great to find a craft kit where nothing needs adding.

This set has everything you could possibly need to get started with modelling in air dry clay.There is a small instruction booklet to guide you through the absolute basics, and all the tools, varnish, paints, cutters, letter stamps and clay (4 x 500g packs) that you need to get going. There's even a little silicon mat to help you keep tidy.The tools all seem quite good quality - very solid and varied for different uses. My son and I had great fun making a small plant pot for one of his small Lego plants and it dried well, although took a little longer than the 24 hours before it was set enough to work with.Great starter set and you'll be buying more clay to continue with once you've used the clay in this set, as the tools and things will still be useable for a long time.

This is a solid kit if you want to get started with air dry clay. You get a good quantity of clay and a wide variety of tools, and everything feels like it's quality enough that it'll last even after you run out of the clay that's included in the set and have to buy more. At its current price of £25.79 (£42.99 with a 40% off voucher) I find it excellent value.I do have to make a note, though. I do find the product imagery a bit deceiving, as some of the photos in the listing show wheel-turned vases that you will not be able to make unless you already own a pottery wheel, and some are even glazed in a manner that you will not really be able to replicate with just acrylic paint. That's a pity, as really, it's a good enough kit to stand on its own merit - no need to advertise it with something you can't make.

This is a great set of clay and tools. There are 4 packs of clay and lots and lots of tools and some paint and varnish for finishing touches. The clay is easy to work with and dried over night.The tools are a good quality and there is everything you could possibly need and more to use with your clay. There is a mat to work on and a bag to keep your opened and unused clay in.I got this for my children to use on rainy days (age 11 and 9) so all the tools are really good for them to add texture. Very happy with this large set!

Das "Anpro Lufttrocknendes Ton-Heimtöpferset ist uns im Rahmen eines Produkttests und bis auf die steuerliche Betrachtung auch kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt worden, wir bewerten das Produkt jedoch objektiv wie neutral und beschreiben unsere tatsächlichen Erfahrungen in der Verwendung wie im Alltag!Das Set kommt in einem schönen Karton und eignet sich sicherlich auch zum Verschenken.Leider sind die zahlreichen einzelnen Teile immer noch separat in Plastik verpackt.Dabei ist wirklich alles, vom lufttrocknendem Tonmaterial über Farben, Farbpalette, Pinsel, Spatel und Klarlack bis hin zu Ziersteinchen, welche eingearbeitet werden können. Dazu sind vier luftig schließende Behälter dabei, um den angebrochenen Ton für spätere Kunstwerke aufbewahren zu können.Der Ton lässt sich leicht verarbeiten und härtet innerhalb von 24 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur komplett aus. Dieses Töpferset enthält wirklich alles, was man für den Einstieg in das Töpfern braucht, von lufttrocknendem Ton bis hin zu einer Vielzahl an Werkzeugen.Im Set sind 2 kg Modelliermasse enthalten, die jeweils zu 500 g in einem wiederverschließbaren Beutel abgepackt sind.Man benötigt für diesen Ton keinen Brennofen, weil er einfach innerhalb von 24 bis 72 Stunden an der Luft aushärtet. Die Dauer ist abhängig von der Luftfeuchtigkeit, der Größe des Werkstücks und ähnlichen Parametern.Ich hatte mir aus der Modelliermasse einen Schmuckteller gefertigt, der nach einem Tag fest war und dann weiterbearbeitet werden konnte.Auch dafür ist im Set alles enthalten, angefangen vom Pinsel bis hin zu Acrylfarben und Lack. Egal ob AnfängerInnen oder Fortgeschrittene ohne Zugang zum Brennofen können ihre kleinen Projekte ausprobieren und umsetzen. Klar bei Farben oder so kann es sein, dass man was Spezielles nachkaufen möchte, aber erstmal ist man versorgt.Es ist auch ein gutes Starter Set falls man sich nicht sicher ist ob es einem liegt und Spaß macht.
