I am constantly misplacing my card wallet. I was hoping this tile would not be to thick and it's not. It takes up the space if about 2 credit cards thick but fits very well. It works with my android phone and is loud enough to hear.

I bought the Tile Slim (2024) because the standard square Tiles turned my bifold into a burrito. At credit‑card thinness, this slips behind my driver’s license without bulging a pocket—mission accomplished.### What nailed it* **True card shape.** Zero struggle sliding into a card slot; I can still snap the wallet shut flat.* **Life360 integration.** Nice to see my wallet on the same map as family members’ locations—useful if I leave it in the car and someone else is already out.* **Reverse phone‑finder.** Double‑tap the Tile logo to make my phone ring, even on silent—handy after couch‑cushion dives.* **SOS feature.** Tested once walking to my car at night; the alert pinged my partner instantly (hoping never to need it for real).### Where it stumbled* **Volume in thick leather.** The ringtone is fine on a desk, but muffled inside a full wallet. I sometimes rely on the map rather than the sound.* **Non‑replaceable battery.** Tile claims \~3‑year life; after that, the unit’s done. Wish it were rechargeable.* **Range vs. AirTag.** Bluetooth distance is solid indoors, but Apple’s Find My network still wins for sheer crowd size—Android users will appreciate Tile more.### Work‑arounds tried* **Ring, then vibrate.** If the sound is too faint, I use phone navigation to get “within inches” and then feel around.* **Thin wallet only.** In a minimalist card holder the chime is noticeably louder than in a thick tri‑fold.### Who it’s ideal for* Anyone tired of lumpy wallets or passport covers.* Families already using Life360.* Android users wanting an AirTag alternative.### Verdict**Keep and likely rebuy when the battery expires.** The slim form factor solves my bulge problem, and the added safety features are a bonus. I'm a big fan of tile. This thing fits in my minimalist wallet like a champ. I have used it more than once. Saving that embarrassing question to my wife. "Have you seen my wallet?"

Good concept, but technology is flawed.Today (4/21/25) I misplaced my wallet and opened the app (5:30pm) to see where I left it last. The app showed the last location of the wallet was in the middle of a busy intersection, near the public train stop (I take the train to work/around town). I figured my wallet must have fallen out and picked up & tossed away by someone else when they didn't find anything valuable in it.I drove from home to the intersection (~4 miles away) and got there at about 6:00pm. Once there I checked the location on the app again and the location showed the wallet being right at the intersection where a man was also pan handling. I looked all around the ground, road and even asked the guy if he saw the wallet on the ground. He said no. I checked the location again and it was still at the intersection somewhere. After about 20 minutes crossing back and forth the crosswalks looking at the ground for my wallet I decided to go home. I got home at about 6:45pm and checked the location again. Still at the intersection. I had dinner and took a shower. At about 8:30pm I checked the location again and it was still in the intersection. I checked the location about an hour later again (9:30pm) and the location changed to the other side of town at my friend's house. What a waste of my time!!!!!

Great products, a must for the busy person that is on the move, this is something that is well needed, the only drawback is the wallet tile can not replace battery once its deal you have to buy a new tile.
